This was a horrible drug for me! I had to beg my doctors to understand how it was negatively affecting me. I am off of it thank God.
Depakote made my brain sore and it made it burn
Are you ok now? If so, what do you take
my daughter died from Depakote
weight loss, dizzy blurred vision, clumsy falls
This drug almost killed me
Doctors told me to keep taking it
I had heart palpitations and went manic and insane while on it
Ok for my seizures but I lost my son 11yrs do to this drug
20 years on Depakote destroyed my body.
derchozenvun83 I'm so sorry to hear this. ❤️
I’m on year 19 on depakote, I’m in ok health but have high blood pressure, how did it destroy your body and how many mg’s where you on?
@@randabuffer6562 it started with light doses and hits the pancreas early enough. From the start you're warning signs are invisible of you're still developing. You might be thinking that that's as smart as you'll be and that the narcolepsy is just a "you" thing. Eventually you might deal with lymphatic problems and systemic failure. Dopamine loss and bacterial issues put you at risk for Parkinson's and MS. As I mentioned, I started light just after turning 8; and doctors do odd things like prescribing pills cut in half so as a kid you take to the whole ones because you don't taste them. It eventually grew to a gram and a half of DR.
Ruth Ginsberg and Abbott Pharmaceuticals fought a case to test future failed anti-cancer developmental inhibitor meds on epileptic kids and call it "anti-seizure" because in their eyes we weren't going anywhere and shouldn't. There's no reason why anyone should have been prescribed that since it doesn't fight seizures and actually causes cancer.
@@derchozenvun83 ok, thanks for the info, I’m on it to control my bipolar and I’ve tried to ween off it 4 times but always end up having unbearable panic attacks while slowly coming off it ☹️
@@cherim9095 thanks.
