The beautiful color of Purpleheart

This is purpleheart. It turns purple when you heat it up.
Without the heat gun, purpleheart will change its color as well, just by being exposed to oxygen or UV light, but typically it takes several days. The block of wood has just been cut and sanded, that's why the difference in color is very pronounced.
I laminated the purpleheart on top of a piece of maple to prevent it from splitting during the heat treatment.
This video has been recorded on a Samsung S20+ 5G with its standard camera and color settings.
The colors (e.g. color saturation or contrast) haven't been changed in post-production and no filters have been applied.
