10 years of waiting, still with the same vibe.
So glad they decided to keep going, vs sunset the act, because people still love and want it. Look at the crowd at any show...as long as the girls and kami band are happy, they've got arenas of people marking out for them the world over.
Nobody would have gotten mad at them for just putting it on forever hold. Especially if the girls had struggled with being involved as they grew up. But so much joy and happiness comes from their shows, it's unreal.
I hope to keep seeing it until I finally kick the bucket and see the Fox God in the sky.

Su-metal: "Indonesia was particularly amazing. It was so full of energy that I couldn't believe it was our first headlining show. Everyone was singing my part with such a loud voice that it didn't matter if their voice got hoarse. Their eyes were glued to the moment, and they were enjoying this space with their entire being. Is there such an incredible level of enthusiasm? I thought everyone would break down. Are you all okay? The excitement was so high, and perhaps it was because the audience was young, but you could really feel that they had been waiting for this. We also received a lot of energy from them, and even the staff, who were a bit tired after the tour with Sabaton, became energized. It was amazing.""
Japan, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, some parts in EU and now Indonesia are some of the wildest and most fun concert crowds I've seen so far not just for babymetal but for other popular metal/rock bands as well. 😮
Much as I say we all like the three girls. We should also give as much thanks to the guys who create the music the guitarist and the drummers who helped these girls to be the way they are❤

Thank you for this! I can’t believe the crowd, really amazing. I just watched one of the new London shows and thought THAT crowd was intense. Nice to see the girls acknowledged the complete awesomeness of this particular show. One of the best if not the best fancam shows I’ve yet seen of them. I saw them myself last month and they are one of the best live experiences I’ve ever witnessed. And I’ve seen several hundreds of bands at this point!
seeing them live myself in this crowd, made my bucket list of watching them live in Japan gone lol. now it's been replaced by watching them live here again 🤘🦊

2024 8.25 / NEX_FEST ~ Carnaval Circuit Ancol (Jakarta)にてBMTH主催のイベントに於いてBABYMETALや数組のインドネシア🇮🇩のバンドが参戦💫昨年11月10日、BMTHジャカルタ公演で9曲目を終えた後、公演が中止。ステージ上の問題やセキュリティの不備etc... いろいろ言われているが結果、これがオーディエンスの暴動化となりかなりあと味の悪い事件となってしまった。(翌日の11日も公演中止となってしまった)今回ジャカルタのフェスでBMTHの意気込みは我々が思う以上に相当強いと察する。昨年のような汚点を残さず、ジャカルタライヴ史上素晴らしいフェスティバルに期待したい !

Interviewer (Itv): After the Sabaton tour, you went on a tour of Asia and Australia, which had been cancelled due to the Corona disaster. How was it?
Su: I could really feel that they had been waiting for us. I could feel it at every venue. Especially, everyone was saying, "Indonesia was amazing! I was especially impressed by the atmosphere of Indonesia (crowd).
Itv: What kind of amazingness?
Su: I don't even have to sing.
Itv: ......?
SU-METAL: They were singing along so hard to everything that I thought to myself “I guess I don’t even need to sing, do I? Maybe I should just give them the mic!” (laughs). They must have been listening to our songs a LOT and had been looking forward to this day for a long time. They were singing so loudly, like they didn’t care if they went hoarse, and watching the stage with such enthusiasm while jumping up and down non-stop, not wanting to miss even a single moment. They were so excited that I thought they’d probably collapse tomorrow, and it was a spectacle that really deserves to be described as “wholehearted”!
(cont) SU-METAL: We had traveled straight to Asia from Europe, and by the latter portion of the Sabaton tour, I would be lying if I claimed we and the staff weren’t tired, but it was thanks to the enthusiasm of our Asian fans that everyone recovered their high spirits. The first day of the Asia-Australia tour in Jakarta (Indonesia) completely recharged everyone’s batteries, and it was a really fun experience that made us look forward to the next leg, wondering what countries we’d visit and what kind of reactions we’d get. I want to go back again!
Itv: You’ve mentioned before that Mexico City was also up there in terms of hype, but was it a different type of enthusiasm?
SU-METAL: For Mexico City, I got the impression that a lot of fun-loving people had gathered together and were just enjoying themselves in their own unique ways. It was truly chaotic, with people shouting however they liked, dancing however they liked, and playing air drums however they liked. So it was an unusual kind of hyped up atmosphere, in its own way. In Indonesia, I felt a sort of hunger and thirst uniting them, as if people were telling us how much they’d been looking forward to this moment. In that sense, the concert was like a rally where we received huge balls of energy thrown at us by the fans and we’d throw them back, and they just kept piling up bigger and bigger.

I: In our last interview, MOAMETAL mentioned that she wanted to visit Asia on the upcoming BABYMETAL tour, and now that this wish has come true, is there any country in particular that left a strong impression?
Moa: The cheering in every country was impressive, but the three of us all agree that Indonesia in particular was something else.
I: Ah, the Jakarta concert. I think you’ve been there before once?
Moa: Yes we have. What year was that?
Su: I think it was about 10 years ago, for an anime festival. (September 7, 2013 for “Anime Festival Asia 2013 Indonesia)
Moa: I knew it had been about 10 years or so. Maybe it’s because it had been such a long time since our last visit, but the crowd was super excited, and moreover everyone was singing a lot. I think it might have been the best show ever when it comes to audience singing.
I: Wow, the best ever!?
Su: They were all singing my part too, to the point where I thought to myself “I guess I don’t even need to sing, do I?” (laughs)
I: Singing the chorus together with you?
Su: Oh no, I mean every single one of my lines!
I: That’s quite something.
Su: So I thought they could probably just do the concert themselves even without me (laughs).
I: In a way, that’s more impressive than what we see from Japanese crowds?
Moa: They went even further beyond what we see in Japan! They just kept singing non-stop! (laughs)
Su: It was like they were unleashing all the passion that had been building up as they waited for 10 years.
Moa: And as we talked about earlier, there were a lot of young people in Jakarta, many cosplaying in our costumes. Some of them seemed like fans that we might have even seen there 10 years before, while others were very young and so we assumed they’d only learned of BABYMETAL relatively recently. I wonder how they found out about us? It was quite surprising to see such a wide range of generations at the shows. I thought that since it had been 10 years since the last time, the audience would have all gotten older, but my expectations were certainly mistaken.
Su: I think it was partly a youthful energy, but I also felt that they were striving not to miss a single moment, because “who knows when BABYMETAL will come back again”? and that was really something to see.
I: The fact that SU-METAL can feel that from the crowd is quite something.
Su: They were just so passionate! I could tell they were throwing their entire body and spirit into it, and were having so much fun to the point of collapsing from exhaustion. I wonder if I’ve ever seen another show like that before.
Moa: On the flip side, the Sabaton tour was certainly not a home crowd. I haven’t felt so away from home in a long time (laughs). There were some with their eyes closed not even looking at us, and there were others who dutifully waved their towels but without any enthusiasm or sense of having fun, so in comparison, the Asia tour… I was just extraordinarily happy with the reaction from the Indonesian fans in particular. It was such a relief to find out they loved BABYMETAL this much!

after this concert legit i sat at the corner for a solid 25 mins, a bottle of water on my right hand, towel on my left hand, and just sat there. not a word, sometimes scroll my phone a bit but my mind was blank, still trying to process everything.

@@bradcpuvids kind words! actually if you've been following some posts from the fans, the location, schedule, and high pricing of the tickets were quite inaccessible for many. hence, those who came to the show were really only hardcore fans which resulted in the rabid craziness of the crowd lmao. those who were just "mildly interested" or know one or two songs definitely won't even consider buying a ticket.
but of course, this affect other hardcore fans that really wanted to came but couldn't because of the conditions mentioned.
for us who came, it's really felt like a special show because it felt more intimate yet loud. we were really lucky.

I saw them earlier this month in Atlanta, but Dethklok opened for Babymetal. They switch which one opens depending on the city. It was an amazing show. I still can't believe I saw them.

I've seen a lot and this is definitely epic.
i've seen testimonies from my fellow Indonesian, that during PA PA YA, the floor was shaking (or at least vibrating). mind you that the show was on ground floor and the floor was made of concrete.
me personally, i couldn't possibly feel it because i was too busy jumping around and throwing the towel lol.
and apparently Malaysian kitsunes also did something similar in KL.
only Babymetal can create tremors during their show

yeah and the new costume plays a big part as well IMO. as if in every song they convey a different "flavor" of feeling with the changes of the prismatic color because of the visuals. whoever came up with the idea of the costume is a genius.
