Gon is more invested in Ging the hunter than Ging the father, he talked about it at the beginning of the series when Kite told him about how challenging it’s to find Ging as a hunter, that’s what inspired Gon to be a hunter. He’s searching for him as a hunter more than a son searching for his father
That scene Ging was drilling Gon on how things to be a good friend and snapped him out of guilt and suicidal thoughts...This is what Gon needs. That stern affection a father can give. I loved that scene so much for some reason. Well, his friends also can play that role, but it'll be nice to come from Ging directly.
nanika was never evil or bad, her powers worked how people used her powers. as far as i know, killua did not abuse her power at least arguably until this arc
Awesome observation by Mr. Parker, Killua's character journey throughout the series has just been dope to witness. He is almost a completely different person from when we first met him. While still being the same Killua, we fell in love with. This whole arc is like a testament to his character development. It's easy to see why Killua Zoldyck is a lot of people's favorite character. I'm happy to see that Parker is digging the Illumi shirt😊😊

i always supposed that the zoldycks asked illumi to let them alone since killua has made the life choice to protect her but i doubt he would listen but it's possible since he s problably the person he "loves" the most in the world
Can you imagine the reverse, if Gon had to use this power to save killua? 😂 He would blast through the entire continent if that's what it took. Like literally move mountains..Killua handled this with so much tact and compassion, it's impressive.
In my opinion allukas power is more like a risk reward type of thing the bigger the wish the worst the request its not like she’s just a genie and can grant a wish with no drawback, at least that’s how I see it
One thing about Alluka is that there's obviously commentary on gender roles at play, which makes Killua's acceptance that much more powerful. Which just makes me love Togashi's writing so much more.
I like how you guys are psychologically in conflict with digesting the fact that humans are more than the label good and bad. HXH makes you realize the nuances of human psychology. Togashi made us sympathize with detestable characters, which i believe gives HXH a nuanced depth.
not sure if this was said before, and this is a video from a month ago so it does not really matter... but nanika does not ask for repayment for healing, it does not need to be a command. nanika isnt good at healing because it needs to touch whatever its healing, but it also never asks cruel things in return. i really like how it works, it only asks bad things because of greed
I noticed that they really wouldn't have to rescind Killua's restrictions if they really intend to bring them back home no matter what. They only needed assurance that the family wouldnt fall to doom because of Nanika. And since they knew Nanika is something that could be controlled (and that Killua considered her a sibling and a friend he would never betray just like what Silver asked Killua to promise), it is all fine for them now. Except for Illumi. I find the siblings names funny though. This is my own perception, Illumi in short is "Ill", Milluki is "Mill" (meal), Killua is "Kill", Alluka is " All" and Kaluto is "Kal" (Cull). And their names are connected to all the siblings, IlluMI - MilluKI - KilluA - AlluKA - Kaluto
If you think about it, Alluka has had Something with him his entire life. All those years spent in solitude, Killua wasn't even around. So his attachment to Something makes complete sense.
allukas story with nanika is an allegory of the struggles of a trans person. togashi already makes great gay characters. his original plan was to make gon and killua fall inlove but his publisher refused to allow that at that time. thats why killua always blushes because of what gon and ONLY gon says about him. the only thing that really got to stay in the story is when they had the romantic moment by the camp fire under the stars and moonlight. that scene was EXTREMELY personal and youre in deep homophobic denial if you dont think gon telling killua that hes happy when hes with him and wants to stay with him forever and then asks killua if he feels the same and killua gets really bashful and tells him that he does isnt a clear sign of love. its just that togashi was FORCED to make it platonic. allukas story is literally about a biological boy being locked away from the world because they always identified as a girl. they dont consider her their family and try to scrub her existence away because they feel twisted shame about her true self. they dont respect her or love her or consider her family. thats exactly why the only one who does love her and accepts her is also the only one who respects her and calls alluka his little sister. ninika is used to represent how burdensome or troublesome the idea of a transperson in their family is to them. alluka out right asks killua is everyone would be happy and get along if she were gone. she already is fully aware of the divide and "trouble" caused by her existing. its sad. thats when killua told her that thats not the case and if she would be happy if he were the only one in the world who loves her. its even more obvious when killua tells alluka to force ninika to NEVER come out again. nanika is that personification of allukas true self thats seen as a monster and walking disaster for their family. so if ninika (the trans part of alluka) then alluka would be a normal family member to them again. the same way the logic works in the real world when it comes to trans people. theyd tell them to lock that part of themselves away forever so that they can be "normal." ninika does this because killua tells them to. because they love killua. this "Evil" monster as the family calls them shows pure love for killua because killua has always shown pure love back to them. so they agree to never come out again because killua is the one who asked. and theyre hurt by it but theyll do it for killua. they cry and cry and cry and then they force themselves away. allukas reaction to this is the conscious reaction to the subconscious being forced to never show up again. how a transperson would keep the trans part of themselves locked away and never to be seen again. repressed, hidden. it wouldnt make them happy. it would make them miserable. theyre angry at killua and crying because killua was supposed to be the one person who loved them for who they truly are and accepted them. then they finally went and did what everyone else in the family had been doing and trying to do. it was betrayal using love against them. no wonder it hurt them so badly. killua believed that ninika is seperate from alluka which they technically are but not when it comes to the allegory of a trans persons struggles. him seeing alluka so angry at him and crying is when he realizes that ninika will always be a part of alluka and that hurting ninika means hurting alluka. the same way that a transperson will still be trans even after theyre told to never let that part of them out again. they may or may not be able to do it but it will always hurt them if they do. so killua makes the right choice and goes against his family after what alluka tells him. they are trans, they will always be trans. accept them as they are or theyll hate him for forcing them to be what theyre not. so he chooses to accept them and love both of them. he doesnt understand their trans struggle, he just understands their love and personalities like everyone can with anyone.
