Me and my boyfriend are just about to finish our first year of long distance for college (2800 miles across the country so a little different haha but still) so I relate and I know it is TOUGH. Just try to remember all the good, be excited for the new opportunities and find fun new ways to approach this chapter of life! I know this is weird and different and can be no fun at times, but it is worth it ❤I am also excited to hear your perspective on long distance as someone doing it and it will honestly be really comforting to watch your videos and know we are going through the same stuff 🥰

Ava you mentioned being nervous to cook chicken - I’d highly recommend getting a meat thermometer. It makes it less intimidating. 💛 Chicken is cooked when it’s 165•F inside. I recommend getting boneless skinless chicken cutlets - they’re pretty much thin chicken breasts, and they are the easiest to cook because they are the same thickness throughout. Hope this helps and is not unsolicited advice 😬 I just know you’ve talked about cooking more being a big goal of yours 😊

Ok ive literally been crying so hard this whole video. My heart goes out to you💗you feel whatever u need to feel. This year my mom and little sister had to move across the country bc they were in a bad situation. And i went from seeing them once a week to only 3 times a year and its been the hardest thing in the entire world. You have to just take it one day at a time and be gentle with yourself. And yes when u see each other again itll be the best feeling ever!💘

I’m not gonna lie, I went through the exact same thing where you live with your partner for months on end and the change is so jarring. This vlog made me so happy emotional to see others going through it and feeling the same. It’s startling and scary even though you remember being fine on your own. My dad was a firefighter, so I grew up with those crazy and weird schedules too. I completely get it and how hard it can be. You'll get used to it and grow into a routine, but everything you feel is completely valid, I cant wait to watch this new chapter for you!

Awe Ava you’re not being dramatic at all. These feelings are completely valid. I did long distance with my boyfriend for the past 3 years (with a total of 2 years being in different countries and about 10 months in the same one) when I studied in Australia.
So i 100% can relate crying on the plane (especially in Hawaii as I would often have layovers there and I’d just cry the whole time.
You’ve got this though and I can confirm that when you get to see each other after being apart it’s the best thing ever 💗💗💗
Oh i get you so much! We live like two hours away by car in different cities but we work Monday to Saturday and every other week we have saturdays off and even if it’s not such a long distance it’s still hurts because in college we used to live one block away from each other 😢 sending you so much love ❤

Ava!! My heart goes out to you! I am a firefighter wife myself and it is soooo hard. We get lucky when they’re in training and we get to see them everyday to not seeing them as often can be jarring. Trust me when I say it is a rollercoaster of emotions. I have good days and sometimes still have those bad days when I’m emotional and miss him like crazy. However, it does get better!! Much love 🩷🩷🩷

I have been in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend for about a year and a half after living together for a year. It’s definitely not easy, but I know you two will get through it! One thing that my boyfriend and I love doing is virtual cooking dates! We will both make the same recipe on FaceTime together and then eat dinner together. It seems silly, but it really does make it feel like he’s right there with me. You got this Ava, I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!

My fiancé is an air traffic controller and we went through a lot of this long distance unknown stuff during his training and placement. The hardest part is definitely the unknown but take it week by week and just enjoy the moments together and even the moments apart!! It’s really so hard but taking it week by week and not looking too far into the future ❤ sending you love

I'm going to be absolutely heartbroken and clueless, but all I can do is take tips from these videos and hopefully be able to find my way around from her videos lmao. I am so behind with the vlogs because of uni and life in general, but i just remember your first vlogs in the apartament and even to me the moving feels kinda of emotional, cause its crazy how you can see some random person grow on the internet while you are also growing in your own life. My husband is a firefighter, too! I know it sucks sometimes, but try and find ways to enjoy it! I cook meals that only I like when he’s gone and watch things he doesn’t love and spend time with myself. You’re valid in what you’re feeling!

I'm a senior in high school and just a month and a half away from graduating and honestly these couples week have been very overwhelming with big projects and tests coming up, senioritis is hitting really hard.

i’ve been long distance with my boyfriend this whole spring because of his exchange, i’m in finland and he is in france. it’s honestly been such a rare opportunity to truly grow as individuals while in a relationship ❤ i felt so bad at first but i got used to it so fast and i think growing up by ourselves for a while has been so great for us

My husband and I have been doing long distance for 6 years. Our situation is a bit different and not one that many would understand, but we definitely have made it work. We weren’t always husband and wife. That actually happened a couple of months ago, but it happened! That was something I used to worry about a lot like “will we even get to that stage”. When I say long distance I mean he lived in Alaska and I live in Florida. Then he got stationed in California and I’m still in Florida. So our distance has always been significant. We can only see each other a couple times a year. What I’m trying to say is please try not to worry about this stage of your life. Trust me… I know it sucks, but if you are both committed to each other, nothing, not even distance, can get in the way of your relationship!
