  • This is a scale model of the 1871 2 HP Crossley Otto Langen Atmospheric engine, owned by the Henry Ford Museum. The model has a 10 inch diameter flywheel and models the full size at 1/6th size. The model runs on acetylene and is governor controlled, like the original. The model is built form bar stock with castings used for the flywheels.

Hi Craig, really nice build. I am looking to buidl one of these myself for a couple of years now, but never started the project. Are you willing to share your drawings, to make it easier for me to get into it? Thanks!
