Once again an absolutely terrific day for your storm footage and chasing, with that unfortunately coming at the cost of so many people traumatically impacted by strong tornadoes. There is something to be said about the innocence of birds chirping blissfully unaware while miles away some of nature's most furious violence is unfolding. I'm not surprised you managed to capture some of the best footage I've seen from this event, your work and professionalism is top tier. If I ever had the opportunity to chase, every decision would be made to emulate the way you handle these events from start to finish.
@@AndrewPritchard I had RFD throw a branch right into my grill. I have a photo of it just barely missing my radiator literally had to saw it off after it got stuck in the plastic fender well.
This is really good video techniques, very good explanations for whats going on as weather moves in, the very quiet part where you can actually hear what a further off tornado sounds like ( I live in Cali, born and raised here so have never seen or heard one before) and last but not least no YELLING at the top of their lungs "HERE IT COMES GUYS! WHOA GORILLA SIZE HAIL! ITS ABOUT TO GO SUPERSONIC RIGHT NOW GUY!" geez man those type of guys blow out the mic and my frickin ear drums at same time! New subcriber here now that i found this channel. Its a great way to vlog man, i like this style a lot! Keep up the cool videos and thanks for sharing it with us. Be safe out there!
Did you hear about the tornado (I think its the zearing ef2), that had a forward speed of 85 mph, it's potentially the second fastest tornado, also its a strange one, because close radar data showed windspeeds calculations around 195 mph on this tornado, I wonder what the wind dynamics would've been like on buildings given how fast it travelled; great film your angle was so good for the shots @MeteorologistAndrewPritchard
Would you say that this spring has been rare? For the number of tornadoes that one would think would be HP and yet LP is very popular. Great footage as always.
Great video, can’t believe I just came across this. That was me in the white Camaro close to the end of the video, it was quite a spectacular chase!
Glad you were out there! Definitely a wild day!
@ yeah it was pretty wild. Just wish my nice camera would have been working, had to shoot everything with my iPhone
late but fantastic video, Andrew! this day is one of my favorite chases ever, though very painful to see the destruction left behind.

Thank you!! I love the audio of these scenes as much as the visuals sometimes.
Great day.
Wow 2 from same spot.
That multi vortex was absolutely surreal - especially from RT’s drone pics…
Thank AP.
Reed had an INCREDIBLE view of that second tornado. Thanks for watching.
Fantastic footage man! I was the dude at 5:43 in the black and yellow jeep. Craziest chase day i have ever had
Wild day for sure!! Thanks for watching!

Thanks Tina!

Thanks a lot for following along!
Fantastic compilation with amazing views.
All heartfelt sympathies to the folks in Iowa who lost homes, farms, and more.
Thanks for watching!
Excellent mic. The sound is precise.
Thank you! The storm audio is as precious to me as the video.
8:00 - That roar is incredible!
Great footage Andrew. Could you possibly share the source of your soundtrack?
I was watching Ryan Hall during the Greenfield tornado. He was noticeably shaken by the magnitude and the debris ball height.
Its a double rainbow. Very beautiful.

(You already know him)

It was reported yesterday that this is the busiest year since 2017, so it seems it would be more of an uncommon year than rare.
I heard a tornado described as being a giant power drill being dragged across the ground. Sounds accurate to me.
incredible job Andrew! Pretty sure I passed by you and Colin! (IN SE IA)
Thanks!! Be sure to yell out the window next time! 😂
