I was feeling like I live in the twilight zone until I saw some of your vids about these companies. My first Rivian sighting was at a cya girls soccer game, where the brand new truck started on fire in the parking lot. We know that family, and they got a new truck free of charge, but not a great first impression.

These entities can only bring Civil charges, which do not have prison sentences (that I am aware of). The DOJ is the entity that is capable of bringing criminal charges (which can put you in prison), but getting all three bodies to work together is usually difficult and a lengthy process that can take years for just one person, and usually requires the cooperation of conspirators, such as what happened with SBF/FTX.

I knew this felt familiar. I was invited to one of the calls by a friend. I had no intention of investing but went on the call anyway. I dropped off after half an hour. My friend ended up in a very bad financial situation. It makes no sense to me to work so hard to give my money away to scammers.

Pretty much. China turned against crypto really hard because they can't directly control it or where the money goes, so if they choose to prosecute him then he'll likely be hit with a nebulous "corruption" charge and never be seen or heard from again.
