To me, Yakuza is similar to Devil may cry in this sense. The longer you play the more you understand how deep the combat really goes. First playthroughs you can just do rush combos. But after 200 hours you'll be stun locking the final boss without even trying.
Nice stuff by everyone! I'm still flashed away though by Bearded Kurowia's clips at 1:32 and 3:13. I was completely flased how Kuze could still be parried away, despite him already flying away. Already looking forward to the 2nd part.
This is history in the Yakuza Community, you maybe see some youtubers colaborating, but a full on community!. My respect for the lads that are part of this collaboration
Just finished it. Absolutely amazing job done by so many people, waiting for Part Two. Amuro going crazy with those Yakuza 5 combos as always, same goes to Pius Lee and AmonMan, they are always creative and are my favourite ones here for sure.
Giga Chad Gym indeed! You guys have decided to push the games to the absolute limit, and the results are spectacular! Definitely saw some things I didn't even think were possible, like parrying an enemy that's flying away like at 1:32, looking forward to Part Two! Also congrats on your channel's anniversary, here's to many more in the future!
Damn the fact that this is only Part 1 is crazy!!! But makes sense considering certain games and characters only had a couple of combos demonstrated, ya guys must be saving some EVEN CRAZIER shit lmao HYPE
NOW THIS is some Good Ass T̶e̶k̶k̶e̶n̶ Yakuza (though it looked like Tekken coming from FotNS there)! I’ma follow all these combo monsters as i love seeing tech like this
Kiryu and the others in Y3-5 are basically lacking smooth and longer attack frames like they have in Kiwami and Judgment. In those games the attacks are short and straightforward, with little to no wind up on most actions. Makes it easier to combo and flow than the others.
…I pretty damn new to Like a Dragon, it’s cool to see just how much potential the combat has. At the same time it’s very clear I don’t really understand the intricacies of the combat mechanic, and problem never will… But Jesus does this video make wanna learn how.
idk how people do combos like these in Yakuza 3/4 and the Dragon Engine, Yakuza 3/4 feels too stiff to me to do anything like this, and Yakuza K2/6 feels too floaty to do anything like this, Yakuza 0/K1 are like the perfect middle ground for me to ATTEMPT to do stuff like this and even then I mess up due to my own faults.
That's weird a certain Yakuza game is no where to be seen. Maybe because it made the next games worse for having a much inferior combat that encourages just wasting a lot of time to kill enemies faster other then actually learning ever move you have to create combo opportunities and differentiate the good players from the mashers. I'm very happy with the change, much better.
Look I agree with what you are thinking(if it's what I think), the changes to the combat are absolutely garbage. But, the game is still a good game, a very good game. The story is good and the side content is the best in the series. It's still a good game hindered by it's inferior combat system.
the Fist of non star isnt a yakuza game, even if ryu ga gotoku made it, it doesnt have "Yakuza" on the name game, how the hell you dont understand this

Easy to learn, hard to become a legend.

This is fucking awesome, love how much hidden depth is tucked away in these games' combat.
the tekken soundtrack makes this video more of a prayer than ever. i'm still hoping STRONG for a RGG tekken rep!
Man SEGA and Ryu ga Gotoku is top notch from having their own combo system in the Yakuza franchise btw awesome combo collab GUNKSHOT.

Why it's seems that the parts 3-5 are faster and more enjoyable then the Y6, YK2 and Judgement? Nice video tho maybe it'll bang in future!

Kiryu nice from giving konami a back message
and meanwhile im just happy i can get a few hits in after i parry a boss lmao
You know how date said he was gonna get removed from the force in yakuza 1?
If you think about it, it’s very likely that munakata was giving the order
