Spoilers for show watchers only: I wish they had Gyomei fight kaigaku for a minute, and then he was teleported to kokushibo. Every other upper moon needed two slayers. I get it, it was Zenitsu’s epic moment cause he’d gotten stronger, but Gyomei deserved a few hits.
Ngl they did not need to go this hard for a training arc but damn. Some of those scenes where some top notch animations. Even if it's for a split second.
His backstory is almost identical to anji from rurouni kenshin both buddist monk and gentle who also happens to run an orphange that gets massacred and they turned in to beastly warrior

Thats because he is physically the strongest our of the three. It might not seem that way but its true. There are alot of benefits that comes with being trained on the mountains. The first is that in enhances your physical attributes to a high amount, secondly it makes you immune to many diseases and makes your body much more durable towards injuries. Lastly it gives you unparallel vision and field sense around you which is literally what insouke's 7th form is all about :)
