    i think the thing that helped this whole thing happen was the pandemic itself. people had to stop attending to wrestling shows for over a year, so when everything went back to normal, people slowly started to appreciate it more and more. because they felt on their own skin that in any given moment it can be taken away from them. and not being able to participate in the event is even worse than being there and not liking it. and also Triple H taking over the creative and letting wrestlers be who they want to be helps them get over naturally. WWE stopped cutting wrestlers short when they get over. they don't focus on a single top guy anymore, they want (and need) to build new stars for years to come, so they HAVE TO let them do their thing and become the best version of themselves. all of it combined with a spirit of competition with AEW makes this era probably the best one since the 90s. it's a great time to be a wrestling fan!

    I think the heels are so good in todays era that when you have a good baby face involved in the storyline it makes you cheer. Gunther is so Dominant that the rivalry with Gable made Gable look like a believable baby face to beat Gunther it seemed like Daniel Bryan type babyface where a smaller guy who knows how to wrestle can possibly beat the unbeatable force. Now Cody just got it, it’s like a modern Golden Era type babyface from his gear to his promos and his entrance he just someone you can’t help but cheer! Cody may have failed in AEW he’s the reason behind their success but it’s like his gimmick was made for a WWE babyface. And LA Knight is just like a modern Rock/Austin hybrid but with his own unique style and even if he seems similar to The Rock he still seems unique in his own way, he’s got IT

      Really strong highlights but I would definitely say a few current stories are as entertaining if not more than those, and the in-ring stuff is definitely on average better. A good way to compare them is that a guy who's genuinely comparable to Kurt Angle, Chad Gable, is _not_ the far and away best wrestler on the roster. Because if it was for Vince well.... Maybe LA KNIGHT would be fired, Chad Gable will be a jobber, Jey Uso will go after another tag team title run with Jimmy, the LWO won't probably happen because Rey will still teaming up with his son, Sami Zayn will have another random feud and Kevin Owens maybe will have another heel turn 😂

      On one hand, I'd like the idea of being that hero, inspirational character people want to get behind and kids can look up to. But on the other hands, it's too fun to play the villain role, especially since you can let loose a little more
      I don't know. I guess I'd be a face The kind that's aloof and standoffish, clearly not there to make friends, but will help you when needed and stands for what's right. My style would be calculated striker with fast-paced style. And my catch phrase would be, "That's all it takes."

    I know nowadays everyone wants to be the cool heel like, but heels like Dominik, Gunther, and Roman are so good at being heels whether if it's you just wanting to see them get dethrone like Gunther and Roman or just want to see them get beat up like Dom it helps the babyfaces. Even though it's good to have a cool heel like Rhea for example, but you see with Raquel it doesn't really help the babyface.

    I think we need a huge unexpected event to
    Catalyze everything. As much as no one likes to admit the Screwjob made the attitude era, Stone Cold used that to turn McMahon into the greatest heel of the attitude era. I’m not asking for something as controversial as that. But simply LA or Cody winning a belt eventually isn’t enough, gotta be a nuclear bomb of an event.
    I’m ready for it. The last two years have felt like kindling for this sweet fire of talent and promos and more and more of the roster I want to see weekly, or excited to see.
    Hell, Gable went from Meh, personality to me to after this string of matches with Gunther earned my respect.
    Anyone have any fantasy booking ideas of what kind of event that could catalyze the new era into a coherent and legit next level?
    Just spitballing here.

    • @Promethazin3
      @Promethazin3 11 месяцев назад +1

      Not sure if that even could be done it would probably have to happen once the bloodline story is done if I’m being honest I think something big but that probably shouldn’t happen would be a Cody Rhodes heel turn a few months after he wins the undisputed universal title then being put into a huge feud with someone they can build up who has a lot of potential like Gable.

    • @MauiMax
      @MauiMax 11 месяцев назад +1

      I have no idea but you’re on to something I was JUST thinking the samething. They need that one era defining moment that launches them into a whole new atmosphere its slowly cooking.

    • @Madeoftea
      @Madeoftea 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@MauiMax Hell yeah. We all “generally” want a fresh long term era and hell, a couple of long term fresh baby faces to be headlining champions. Pandemic era, the ‘Bloodline’ era is getting cringe and stale. We wanna see a couple more matches, and then close that chapter and don’t look back.
      I also feel, this fresh turn the 3H era is taking needs something equally fresh. We all know Cody will get a belt and finish the story. It’s cool. It’s good story telling. LA may get a world belt too a little further down the line. But they need nuclear heat in the way VKM was for Austin. Like biblical heat. Their baby face roster is thankfully fleshing out… but they need heels you can really hate. Dom’s okay. He’s kind of stereotypically bad. Which fits the bill. He’s working.
      I LOOVE where they are taking Shinsuke. I want him to be like old Samauri movie bad. Like Throne of Blood bad guy. Insane bad you can never trust. That would kick him towards a HOF run I’d love to watch.
      Anyway, I’m just rambling. I really want the new era to succeed. Haven’t been this excited for wrestling in years, and it just needs to shake the stagnation with something era defining.
      Not sure what it is, but, yeah! WWE has been defined by lament and stagnation and disappointment for way too long.
      The TV-14 is a start. Anyway, I’m
      Excited to see it unfold. 🙏
