A glimpse of Chacala - the BEST swimming beach in Nayarit ?

Chacala is a wonderful little beach town located about an hour north of Puerto Vallarta on the pacific coast of Mexico. It is a favourite with locals and ex-pats alike because it is such a great swimming beach with calm shallow waters that are even good for kids. It is also very beautiful with golden sand and there are plenty of beach bars to slake your thirst. Many other beach towns, such as Sayulita, San Pancho and Lo de Marcos, have quite rough surf making them more suitable for surfing than swimming, but Chacala is the exception.
