For people who want to ride on rough surfaces and/or have a much smoother vibration free ride check out the Razor A5 Air. It's very similar to this one but instead of the solid urethane wheel it has wider inflatable tires. It is a little slower and about 3 lbs heavier but the ride is really smooth and you can ride it about anywhere. I live in Acadia National Park in Maine which has 50+ miles of dirt carriage trails and the A5 Air takes them in stride...except, of course for the steep hills up which you have to walk. All in all a great scooter!
@@radicalkonrad765 It is very low which makes kicking easier but you definitely have to watch out for high spots. As far as glide distance and kicking effort there is a price to be paid for the wider, softer tires, but the ride quality is so much better, and the experience so much enjoyable I feel the trade off are worth it. That said I eventually graduated to a dual 16” Swifty Zero I imported from England. Wow! What a difference in ever respect. Sort of like, trading in a pickup truck for a sports car!
Just used the scooter again recently this year in September 2024 after a few years of not using it. The scooter is still working perfectly. Only recommendation is to definitely avoid riding the scooter on rough aggregate surfaces and areas with large cracks since the wheels can get caught in between them and cause a fall. Or if you do ride on rough surfaces, ride slower than you typically would vs smooth sidewalks.
I don't bend down to fold the scooter. I just pick it up and fold it because it weighs all of 8.5 lbs. Nice riding footage, although the last place I'd go for a joy ride is a parking lot. Drivers' IQ is -30 in a parking lot.
Hi everyone! 8 months post-review - Scooter works really great, wheels still good! Caution note - Highly do not recommend riding at regular speed and attempting turning at sharp corners (need to do wide turns to avoid falling off). Also, do NOT ride the scooter during ANY rainy season and on wet surfaces. Brakes will not work even at the slowest speeds.
Thanks for the update! I just ordered one. Picking it up at target this Friday. My jetson helix literally snapped yesterday. Finally an excuse to upgrade!
@@skateata1 Sure thing Kelsea!! I hope you enjoy the scooter. Now it has been a year for me having the Razor scooter. No issues so far! Nothing broken. Still a really enjoyable ride!

Got one a few days ago and I love it so far. My only complaint - and it's more like a concern - is that the break gets hot enough to melt shoe soles after a single use while going down a moderate hill. Any mods or fender break upgrade to prevent this from happening?
Hello Jonathan, The scooter rides average on other surfaces (slightly rocky surfaces). The vibration is roughly the same that you feel on your feet, but isn't that bad. As long as you're firmly holding the handles, then you should be fine. I personally feel a small vibration even on the slightest rough surface.
@@allegend Irregular surfaces will be bumpy and slightly uncomfortable, but can still be rideable. As long as you can control the handles as you ride through these surfaces, you should be fine.
Can it hold myself and a hooker? I need to get from point A to Point C but in between point B is the hooker.

I heard the it's way too low and has bad roll when you push
I heard it just makes things harder for no reason, it's built for democrats

Hi Socrates, nice review. I also have the same scooter here in Manila.
Hello Jun! Very nice!! I hope you like the scooter too! :D
Yes i like it . I upgrade it with bones reds bearing last year and runs much longer and faster 😊

I’m not sure tbh but you could possibly try adding an insulated material somewhere on the break good luck
How smooth is it on other roads? Is there a lot of vibration in the handle bars?

Hiya, what speed does this thing go at on the sidewalk?
Hello. The scooter can go at least 10 mph on the sidewalk and in general. (basically as fast as you can propel yourself forward).
Did you buy the scooter at Target?
Yes! :D
I know this is a video from long ago. But how tall are you? I don’t want to be bending but I don’t think I will I’m 5’7”.
How much weight does it take to break/ bend the metal?
220 lb
@@Socratestime 220 to snap it in half or is that the recommended weight cap
@@xaquavibesx5759 The recommended weight cap, Although I do believe the snapping weight would be a bit higher, not too sure though.
@@Socratestime thanks
You would have to weigh as much a blue whale to snap one of these things in half. I'm 250 lbs and can ride smoothly on the smaller versions.
That thing is called a kick stand!
Indeed!
Great video but giving advice you can get a little mic so you don’t use your good voice
So fun
Glad you're enjoying the scooter! :D
Got it
the only problem i had with this scooter its so loud.
Agreed, but usually only when you ride it on rough surfaces with a lot of aggregate.
I'd probably put a bell on the handlebar just to warn walkers. And they cost much less on ebay than Target or Amazon.
That's a really good suggestion! I didn't think of that before. Thank you zzubuzz!
