I usually don't do dirty pours with resin in a mold unless my resin is a little thick or use a thicker viscosity because they usually just meld together. Get yourself a resin mixer! Lifesaver! If you get the Let's Resin or Istoy that has a stand or the Let's Resin electric mixing cup you will be wondering how you ever lived without something mixing things for you! Saves time as well, you can get your colors ready.
Ahh I have the Let's Resin's mixer and to be honest with you I don't like cleaning it so that's why I don't use it.😅 Thanks for the tip tho! Next time I do it I'll let the resin thicken up a bit first before pouring!
@@JBKonsCreations I don't like cleaning the paddles either so I got a plastic jar with a screw top lid (ones that seals well) and put some isopropyl alcohol in it. The when I need to clean the paddle, I sit the paddle in that for about 10 minutes. It comes out super clean! Then when done put the lid on and it's there for the next time. I have used the same alcohol over and over again and it hasn't evaporated very much. Oh, and I love your jars!
@ Oh wow, yess! I hadn't thought of that!! The few times I have used my mixer I've used alcohol to clean it sooo, thanks for commenting this!! I'll have to find a jar that fits the top part of my mixer. 🧐🌸
may help to wait a bit for the resin to start warming up and thickening before you pour it, may help keep the colors from being muddy or use the glue trick
Im definitely going to wait for the resin to warm up next time! I should of remembered but sometimes I get excited with an idea and forget the basics. 😳😅
I really like the periwinkle/cornflower color!! 🩵 I wonder what it would look like with a tealight candle? At least the tall one looks like it could be a candle holder?
To do a separated dirty pour, let the resin thicken about 40 minutes before pouring. This will help keep the colors separated. Another option is to let clear resin thicken then drop alcohol ink on top then pour. This creates a ribbon/whispy color.

I think the tall one is a pencil holder...🤔 I've had the mold for a while so I can't remember exactly what its for.😂
@JBKonsCreations LOL!! 😂 Likely, but having a glow shine through it with a little battery light might show more of the look you were wanting?
