I think the interview reflect a true 17 yrs old trying hard to get trust and assurance from his parents that he is safe and money spent will not be a 3 months fever. He started with a Java clock his way up by words and action. Well done for a 17 yrs chap.
Happy for that lad, what a great bike to ride for a 17yo! What's that paint job tho- I love it! It's a shame that the cool schemes are often only available for the frame sets.
Yo Bro. Interview getting too long. I think a good 20 minutes is good enough. Too much of his family details. 😆 A few B roll of slow mo close up of the bike will be nice for a opening. But I am still your supporter.. just my opinion.
I will never let my parents get involve in my bikes.. definitely they won't allow me to own one judging the way I cycle. My track record doesn't speak kindly having a long list of crashes and injuries from cycling. Usually my bike will appear out of nowhere and they LPPL learn to accept it.. sometimes I even have to hide my purchases in friends or relatives' house until the coast is clear.
I can attest to the Java's brake issues. I previously owned a Java Siluro 3 & the in-house brakes is literally the worst sh!t ever. i even tried to minimize the distance between the rotor and the caliper to 1 mm but yet it still stops further than a normal rim brake bike. Sold that bike & got a rim brake allez sprint. Best decision ever.
@@OompaLoompaCycling there was this guy on sg java bike group who change the brake pads. There wasn't any diff. He change the cables to try but it only improved abit
@Oompa Loompa Cycling Dont think so because the caliper by default is already damn weak. The only way is to swap out the stocked Decaf caliper to juin-tech.
Yikes, I hate these inferior mechanically-actuated hydraulic fisc brakes (except for Juin-Tech and TRP HY-RD, but boy, the latter is real bulky), but I'd rather use the TRP Spyre. I switched one of my customers' brakes from some unbranded version of said brake type to TRP Spyre and it's now much safer for him to slow down & stop.
Bikes are not the only things that you are not able to replicate the issue when wanting to show to a mechanic, technology is the same when you go and find tech support, you can never replicate the same issue to the tech support.😂😂
A Defy would of probably work better for this kid. All that stack height bike on aero race bike. I get it, if you got the cash why not get what you want.😅
Ye I got to see them. Idk if I heard correctly but he was talking abt putting normal pedals on the bike and I was so confused. Good to see that he put clipless
@@tyronebiggums4653 I was telling him not to put flat pedals and manage to buy a platform for cleats so that its like a flat pedal for my cfo to ride and all's good now
Hi, sry for the late reply. There was a batch issue with this particular bar tape that I was using. Which caused massive wear. Tay junction has changed it for me foc
That stem really transformed the Propel. The original pointy one sucks, looks so ugly. The one he's running looks WAY better. Ultegra rocks- also far better choice than SRAM. Nice build.
Dude seriously take that ridiculous mask off. You're trying to have a conversation with another person. It might have been cool for five minutes....it's not now. Make a backdrop with that picture on your tee shirt if that's your logo.
wah i surprised .. i tot he is a working adult.. anyway good to have parents to support his bike. I think when he start losing weight definitely will look more like 17 yo.. when i'm 17.. im skinny to the bones.
8.2kg with lights, pedals & computer isnt that bad. Could you weigh without accessories next time please :) My estimates are front Light 117g, rear light 55g (assuming rockbros q5) pedals 320g(asuming RS500 by the logo on the underside), computer 76g = 568g ~7.67kg with bottlecages no pedals. It's a little heavier than I expected compared to another video weighing an advanced pro 0 xs with sram force @ 7.68kg ruclips.net/video/0xrV-ndqZlo/видео.html Ultegra should weigh ~300g lighter than force so this weight is suprising
Never go wrong for Giant, the best value for money, great performance & good quality
Java Vesuvio to the Propel is a HUUUUGE step up, congrats to him xD
I think it’s great that the parents were involved apart from just the budget, having to take into consideration of the specs. What a bond to cherish
Solid take on this bike, I think it provided many reasons for potential buyers to consider this compared to its predecessor. Good review!

Hi, do you still satisfied with the C50?
Get the seatpost colour matched to the frame 👌

Hi, thanks for the comment. This is the super nova colour way. It came as a frameset but tay junction build it up

How is he 17 years old….
Thats what I thought
He looks more like 37 years old 😉
He looks talks and laughs like uncle but he’s the most humble and real!
You had hambini on the show yet you still use “does it hold its speed”
It holds its speed because the rider has paid for it.
@@mjokffsgfjs need to lose your $$$ to hold your speed haha
When in doubt, get a Giant. you wont go very wrong. 😂
always take a video when something's gone wrong =) bike shop too OP that all the defects disappear on the spot.

Where can i get that light mount
U can ask him on my Discord server
Try interview mtb rider, a full suspension mtb super expensive too.

would changing the brake pads/rotors make it any better at braking?

I wonder how loose was his headset that others had to noticed it on his behalf.
The chain is too short.
Very nice bike..
Lovely
What size is this bike?
Check the video description

bike looks too big for him, if he had a shorter reach he could lower the stem. being stretched out is much worse than a lower stack
what is your height and frame size?
Details in the description of the video
I will get the Advanced Disc 1 if it comes with 105 Di2 instead of Rival eTap
Lol... Hello bro! How come you are in my RUclips tonight sia......Keane......
wah i wish my parents buy me 8k bike also
Giant Supermarket -> Giant Propel 👏

Haiyaaa.....i tell u buy supersix evo u dw... Hahaha
With THAT MUCH wear on the bar tape with just 3 weeks of riding?! It's telling the bike fit is not right for him.

@mangosyrup1.0 I see! Thanks for letting me know. Kudos to TJ for changing the bar tape.
