Hey Ceph, you make mistake every time you see a Ball and Chain, if you can get it cursed, usually the CD limitation is between 0.3 and 0.4, you had 2 fish hooks and the stats you would have get from the Ball and Chain would be awesome. Keep that in mind just a friendly reminder
That's a good point! I still don't usually like the item much even when cursed, but we could have locked it here for possible value.
I bought Brotato because of you and learned so much from your commentary that it allowed me to really succeed in the game. I’m nowhere near as good as you but I can very reliably win on specific characters. I don’t play Brotato anymore but I still like to watch your random random runs!

this elite doesn't actually shoot random projectiles at the last stage, it always shoot a certain angle off from the player once clockwise and then counter clockwise. So if you stand still it will never hit you

Ever considered getting the improved tooltip and better display mods so you get stuff like the tardigrade counter you were talking about? I know you want this to be accessible to folks who are beginners, but you could do a tutorial on how to install these mods from steam workshop and reference that in future videos. Great content by the way, you've made me a much better Brotato player, keep it up! 😎
Thanks! I think it's pretty confusing for people when I have different stuff than they do on the screen unfortunately. I get a ton of questions just about projectile highlighting, which is just a menu option!

On the mobile version, blood donation and bloody hand ticks don't remove tardigrade stacks. It's probably the only thing that port has done right.

A quick breakdown of how much curse improves different types of items: regular stackable or limited items such as coffee, hedgehog, bag, geckos have their positive stats go up and negative ones go down, but not eliminated. This means items like bag which has a negative stat that cannot be reduced, and items without a negative stat can be more or less doubled in strength. Items like duct tape and coffee that have their positive stats improved and negative stats reduced can actually be around four times as strong such as duct tape going from 1 armor, 1 engineering, -2 hp to 2 armor, 2 engineering, 1 hp
Most unique items, such as lumberjack shirt giving an extra tree, and some limited items, like treasure map and hunting trophy, get added effects. These are just super strong.

That's true! Though of course you get less benefit from lowering the downsides of items where the downsides don't really matter - changing head injury from -8 range to -4 range doesn't really change the value of the item for example
Plank also scales with Engineering by +50% too but Engineering modification is halved on Mage.

I really find it easier to focus down the eel boss first, assuming the whale leaves you alone long enough then you don’t have to dodge them both while dealing with the more dangerous one. Sometimes you don’t have much of a choice but yeah I always go for the eel first since it’s definitely easier.
I was doing some random random runs today. I got my ass kicked but it was more entertaining in some ways over starting a run with a plan for a character with their best weapon/my favourite weapons. Good way to mix it up but not something I would do all the time though. Maybe random character then random/random repeat.
Nuclear launcher should be a permanent exception.
Honestly tardigrade could stand to have its effect reversed, i.e. instead of blocking the first hit you take it blocks whatever damage would have been lethal. Fixes both the self damage interaction and would let you use it more aggressively.
Could you last a long time with jack, candle, and white flag to get only 15% enemies? I usually see people stack + enemies and get 150% enemies by the end in endless.
I know it's not economical at all, but end game 1/10th the enemies means u need 1/10th the tardigrade and stuff. Plus you may be able to dodge unless speed is too high.
Not sure I've seen someone full send this strategy unless there's a internal cap on minimum enemies?
It would be really hard! Dropping from 30% enemy spawns down to 15% enemy spawns means you're getting *half* the income - jack with half income is a really tough character!
Just ran mage/torch and with a cursed level 4 torch things just melted. Was 3k damage per swing in DOT damage. Killed both bosses without greek fire.
I want u to try triple saver, see if you can win without buying any items!
I randomed into Plank Cyborg the other day (danger 3) and that was absolutely awful. Plank has to be the worst weapon in the game IMO.
