Thank you for doing all these hotel reviews. They are so helpful! I’m a seasoned Disneyland veteran from Vegas, but I’ve been staying at the Disneyland hotel for the last few years, up until the pandemic closure. I previously would stay at the Eden Roc or The Annabella, that no longer exists. Now I have a baby and want something closer, but I don’t want to pay $700 for Disneyland hotel or Grand Californian.
Thank you! I’ve been looking for a video that showed the exact view of the park view room. The trees were part of my concern on being able to see the fireworks. Thank you so much for the video!
I agree with you about the room view. I would have been so frustrated. You ask and pay for a view and you are greeted with several trees. I’m happy you and your beautiful family had fun though😊Thank you for the video!
It’s no different at the other local hotel if you want a premium view it cost $1000. I’ve stayed here, Anaheim Marriott and the Sheraton. I paid for views and a balcony all three times and every hotel is blocked pretty well. You may see the fireworks but all you see is the junky parts of Disneyland that they don’t want you to see. I was starting at the back of rides and storage lots.
East coast girl here and planning a week-long DL trip. Um, compared to views we have at WDW on-property resorts (unless you're paying $1000+ a night), that view of Space Mountain from your balcony is AMAZING!!!!
Disneyland I well guarded with trees and expecting to get a good view of the park it’s not practical. This is a view of the top of a couple rides and fences. Let’s be real
I agree with you. On the park view. Yes you see fireworks but you couldn't really see to much of the park. With that tree. And miss some fireworks too. I have standard room will see what happens. I got lucky my first stay there we had the water park view. That was kinda cool. I can't wait for Candy Cane Inn to open. That was my first choice. I wish the Hojo had free breakfast. They are close to the park. So that is plus.
The tall 7 story structure is building 1, the longer 4 story structure is building 2, building 3-6 are in the middle of the property. You want to shoot for building 1 if you want a view.
@Vince Ghio We will try to review a bunch of different hotels in the area. The next one we want to do though is the Best Western which is immediately across from Disneyland entrance.
They are daily right now, at least for the time being. It's possible it will go back to weekends after the summer. The Disneyland fireworks calendar only goes out about a month.
@@MWong2005 You can do either. Whichever is preferable for you. I booked online I think. I just checked and it seems you can book at least a year out. I went for 18 months and it was too far.
@@SoCalDisneyDad It appears that once you select the date it will show you if you can "book now" or it will tell you the date when you can book. I want to book for Dec. 19 and it says I can book on Nov. 19.
@@MWong2005 I just went to book a room on December 19th and it took me straight to the checkout screen with no problem. I would give them a call to help you book so it doesn't disappear before then.
Great question. 😂 I think it was 707 but it might have been 711. I just cant remember if I was in 711 and they were going to move me to 715 or if I was in 707 and they were going to move me to 711 (until that room was taken before I could confirm).
Umm, no? Disneyland is a place for all ages. Disneyland’s biggest fan is a man in his 90s who goes to Disneyland every day. He is such a nice guy and I say hi to him whenever I can. What’s weird is that you think you need a kid to enjoy a theme park.
Stayed in a 7th floor room similar to this one in summer 2023 and loved it. I was actually much more impressed with the bathroom than you were in the video because it was large, had good storage, an amazing strong shower head, and it was so very clean. I’m debating whether to switch to Candy Cane for next summer but the rooms look so much smaller.
I found this channel from going down a rabbit hole but this is amazing
Thank you!

That looks like such an awesome place to stay and my 2&3 year old would love the water park i think. Thanks for all the details! Loved this video😀
It’s one our of favorite hotels for sure.

For sure! I was just worried about not being able to see fireworks very well because of the trees. But it worked out well in the end!

Candy Cane = Best hotel for sure. But we enjoy the HoJo. You are right, it would be even better if they had free breakfast.
They should advertise those rooms as PARTIAL parkview.
where did the 5th person sleep?
I agree with you. Advertising these rooms as "park view" and having a whopping big tree blocking half the view is outrageous.
Were you in building one? Trying to decide what building to book in!
I’m not sure? We were in the tall building right at the hotel entrance area.

is this an economy room? or what room is this? thanks!
It was a Park View room.
It’s called a superior room
My favorite local hotel to Disneyland is great wolf lodge.
We haven't had a chance to stay there yet.
@@SoCalDisneyDad will you try the Camelot you passed by it in your way to Disney it’s right next to the McDonald’s

Hi, is Fireworks 🎇 still only on weekends ?

@@SoCalDisneyDad Thank you!
Does this hotel have a regular pool?
Yes, it does! Here’s a link to it: www.hojoanaheim.com/garden-pool/
there's a cam one of the towers it's called mattercam
Nice!
how far in advance can we make a reservation?
At the Howard Johnson? Whenever I think. For the water park? I believe it’s 30 days before your stay.
@@SoCalDisneyDad Thanks, just for the hotel is what I was trying to figure out. Do we do it online or call? I live in Hawaii

Hello James and Benjamin
He said that as a dad with a straight face. No alder should be let into Disneyland without a child just weird
