These ReVels out of Philly were always really good. Excellent harmonies and unique melodies. They've always been one of my favorite groups, but they were terribly underrated and should've had many more hits than just Midnight Stroll. I still really love listening to them sing.

If you watched and listened to this video...Consider yourself lucky ,for this is a rare musical treat !!! this is one of the finest R n B ,doowop groups from the philly area to imerge from the area after of course the pioneer groups such as the castelles, cherokees , dreamers , capris , belltones ( Grand - Gotham ) records ...........but from the mid fifties on this was Phillies finest !!!??..............Erik Vonderlieth

Couldn't agree more. Especially the second half when they got that real guitar player, and we could hear them harmonize like champs. Still a wonderful group of Philly boys!

wonderful group;' talking to my heart' and 'false alarm' are classics. This video clearly shows a feature not always evident: that the excellence comes both from innate talent and continuous hard work.

Yes they all were from Philadelphia and originally were from the Richard Allen housing projects there is a documentary on RUclips about their journey and you can also see their live performance on American Bandstand of them singing their 1964 hit single " Midnight Stroll "

Their first release was called Love My Baby on Atlas Records in 1953. It's available on YT and worth listening to.
