Happy First Day! We had an unexpected long break for late spring early summer, so we ended up starting in mid August. Of course it did not go exactly Going to plan, but that’s life. I enjoy watching your videos and this one was no exception. ❤❤❤

Love this! Happy new school year. I'd love to hear more about how you know when to branch out of a topic and look for resources. Is it when your kids ask more questions or when you just feel like it's better to get more background knowledge?

I take any chance I can when they have interest. I also expand when I know that it can be related to current events or if I know it's a bigger discussion. My girls don't always understand things with the first pass, but later, they have that previous knowledge to fall back on. I'll also take any chance I get to include a trip 😅

Can you do a video on your doodle notes? Are you buying or making templates or advising them on how to do their own? Thanks! I always love watching your videos!

I'll add it to the list. We just watched some videos explaining the process, and they have gone to town.

Thanks so much for sharing your first day. Eagerly awaiting your first thoughts of MUS Algebra 1. We are in lesson 22 of MUS Pre-Algebra, we are doing that along with Saxon 87. I am still a little undecided whether to have my son do the Bridge Course of MUS, before starting MUS Algebra 1, I think he probably will, since I have heard it’s quite a jump. Did your daughter do that bridge course? Or whether to drop MUS when he finishes Pre-Algebra, and keep moving with Saxon, which in a few weeks will be Algebra 1/2. I feel Saxon Algebra 1 is challenging, so for my 11 year old, my thoughts are to do 1/2 Algebra. However, he is enjoying MUS and enjoys Mr Demme’s lessons, he’s an excellent teacher, so any thoughts on this new course would be so appreciated.

I have a video coming up for the first impressions of Algebra 1 MUS, the new PSM version. I also just posted a review of the bridge program from MUS. My daughter did complete it over summer.

Let us know how video making school is going! We are doing their photography for teens 😊
She's really excited. Im going to try to do them along with her because point and shoot doesnt cut it at times 😂

Exactly 1 million years ago, we decided to cut out the cable service. When we did that, my husband wanted to be able to still watch and record football games. He invested and customized a PC that would be used for that purpose. Long before streaming platforms, we used a PC as our TV box with the TV as the monitor essentially. We are now on our second round of the computer as TV. I can never go back! It is absolutelty amazing for homeschool. Now with all of the streaming services, it's even better!
