  • You NEVER KNOW what the kids in our city are really going through. They are right HERE in our community and neighborhoods, struggling and wondering if they are loved. My guests on this episode are right in the heart of the struggle. They have LIVED it.
NOW, they each have their own organization that works hand in hand with each other to make a difference where they see it is needed the MOST...in the youth.
MEET these 3 amazing local city changers:
Len Carter - founder of Safe Zones, a local non-profit that provides activities, a safe place for neighborhood kids, summer camps, food bank, diaper giveaways, teaching and workshops, and MORE! To volunteer your time, talent teaching (building, photography, life skills) or to make a donation, you can find him on FB: @Len Carter
Carshara Bradley - passionate big-hearted local woman, who openly shares her story of being in prison and her life turnaround. She has a passion for helping those formerly incarcerated get back on their feet, working with a local organization called United Returning Citizens, founded by another local woman with a passion for helping recent offenders get their life started in a positive way.
You can find both her and URC on FB: ‪@carsharabradley8839‬ & ‪@unitedreturningcitizens2859‬
DC Henderson - one of 9 kids who grew up in the foster care system. He had a tough road as a youth, but a few positive role models and voices helped guide him to choose to be something different. His story is heart moving, and really resonates with the youth of our city when he advocates for them to see beyond their present circumstances! He goes LIVE with thoughts and updates occasionally on his FB page: @Cachino Henderson
HIT PLAY to get a glimpse into the world of those who have boots on the ground in the midst of some of our challenging neighborhoods and struggling families!
