My 3,5 MB OBJs (roughly 40k polys) always grow up to 8-10 MB GLBs :( (export via Vectary or online converters). Material is MeshStandard... so I guess this is not the case. Thanks for any help!

Green axis is Z-axis. Isn't it?
it actually varies, buy Z is most often the blue axis. If you use 3D Printing, Z is often "up" while in many CAD-programs Y-axis is up.
