This song was a great showcase of four incredible musicians. It featured Warren Zevon on the piano, Waddy Wachtel a great session guitarist who most notably backed Linda Ronstadt, and the great anchor of Fleetwood Mac John McVie on the bass and Mick Fleetwood on the drums. The song was supposedly about the men praying on older lonely ladies in a similar way to the way gigolos do. But this is a bit speculatory. Glad you liked the song, it is one of my son's favorites, or it was when he was a kid. And it is one of mine as well.

Werewolves of London was a 1935 British movie. Lon Chaney is the Man of 1000 faces, Silent Movie MEGA STAR, his son Lon Chaney Jr. played the original Werewolf movie in Hollywood called "Wolf Man" 1941. His dad Lon Chaney started in films in 1912 and played in Silent Movies "The Phantom of the Opera" and The Original "Hunchback of Notre Dame" So the Lon Chaney references with the Queen are pretty clever.

Long Chaney was a famous Britush actor who played character roles often in heavy makeup and prosthesis and wigs. So did his son years later, Lon Chaney Jr.
The cry is meant to be the howl of a Werewolf...Ahooo!

I'm thankful you just react to songs as you hear them, without researching the song, the band, etc. because this is ultimately what the music is, hearing it as it is. How many people were able to research a new song by an artist that they heard right then at a concert, etc.? The experience of just hearing the song as it comes to you without doing a background search, etc. etc., which tbh could actually influence your reaction instead of just letting the music as you hear it be your experience and inform your reaction, is I feel more genuine and important-which is what music is supposed to be and do in the first place! Have not most folks heard music from a friend they know where they heard the music new, fresh, right then, without having their opinion formed by "research?" The song has to stand on its own two feet.

I little research would aid in understanding the context in which the song was written. Example: The song Abraham Martin and John. In the final stanza the lyrics “anybody here seen my old friend Bobby” was Robert Kennedy who assassinated after Martin Luther King and that event marked and end of a cultural movement and deeply effected many people of my generation.

I think that is great that you get to experience a song "out of the blue" and respond top it. So. Yes! Your perseverance is admiral as you contend with dissenting voices and I appreciate your input and your efforts.
I have heard most of the Western songs you cover and seldom do I disagree much with your views; particularly with respect to drug references or willful violence towards noncombatants, which are also intolerable in my culture.

I'm a new subscriber and have absolutely no problems with whether or not the two of you don't actually like a song. You're keeping it real and I can appreciate that. After all this is your opinion. Film critics always tend to upset some people if they don't agree with their opinion. Keep up the great job. If everyone always agreed to like a certain song how boring would that be? There would be no reason to have a channel like you and so many others have. There's a very interesting story about how and why this song was created. If you're curious look it up :-).

I'm a longtime sub and I have liked and or loved all your reactions. I like the ones where the song may not be to my liking(very rare, maybe 10-15%. that's only 10 or so out of a hundred reactions) and I love the reactions when it is a band or song that means a lot to me. You two are very intelligent and your from a different culture that is another world to some people. I have a grade 12 diploma and I don't have lots of money but I'm happy and think of myself as a fairly intelligent person. I'm a voracious reader and I know what's going on the the world(I'm 54). My point is that those making insisting suggestions or derogatory comments are usually coming from people that are, shall we say, a little ignorant of other cultures and the way there are other people all over the planet who may be different and have their own way of doing things. Maybe they're jealous that you two are smarter than they are and know that there is a world out there beyond their own little 4 foot X 4 foot personal bubble. Don't sweat it. I will still watch and so will thousands of others who get you guys. Cheers, the canadian Queen nut.

I really enjoy your reactions. As a DJ, what I like most is when I see a video you've uploaded with a song I instinctively feel you will enjoy. Sometimes, I see you've uploaded reactions to songs I don't feel you'll enjoy, and I usually skip those videos. If I were your channel "Producer", or "programmer", I think it would be interesting to see you react to songs, or artists in an order that would give you a better perspective & appreciation on their music & artistic development. Like with Toto, how many Toto songs did you listen to, and kind of dismiss until you got to Rosanna? Does that make any sense? Anyway, again, love your channel & enjoy your reactions :)
