A choir of angels

The young boys in the Choir of New College at Oxford University, founded in 1379, live two lives: one as normal children, and the other as world-class singers. Martha Teichner visits with the musical director Edward Higginbottom, and with the boys whose angelic singing continues a tradition older than America.

Thank God there is still a land where decency, decorum, and tradition are melded with training and skill to produce a sublime result. Your awful weather, and gritty cities aside, I admire you England. But knowing that this exists gives me some hope as my own country seems to be descending into hyper-partisan madness, and a complete loss of personal dignity, empathy, and decorum.
