been here since the first civic type r modified car review and ive changed my YT name about 5 times since 🤣and i dont think ive missed a video so ive been here for going on 8 years i think. ... the car review thing i think on YT is dead and gone and its been like that for a while now. Easy for this big channels to change their content everyday as they have the money (sponsors) behind them to do it but that leaves small (hate saying small) channels in limbo as its not easy for them to change. Glad to see you back though and thanks for giving us an update 😊 Also family always comes first! OMG shes 3 now?? damn that's gone quick! With content now in the CarTube (thats what i call it) its a strange game to play. I think you gotta find your niche and what you like and just stick to it :) right now the only "big" channel i watch is MCM but who doesn't watch them! All the other car content i watch a most probably scrap yard builds and budget builds and longer vlog type stuff. They were the days and they were the vlog style videos that you're talking about. Even the Max power fiesta I go back and watch them every now and then just for the enjoyment of watching you and MJG working through the issues it had. And the vlog of you talking about your previous cars that you'd had and all the storys and memories you had of them. Pretty sure at the time 2 or 3 other youtubers did the same after you. And the "Should you buy a.." reviews were top teir too!

Glad you’re not quitting mate. I’ve got a channel too but car RUclips is over saturated right now so it’s hard to find a way to stand out but I love filming my cars so I’ll stay at it. I like the videos you do where you buy cheaper relatable cars and do bits to them and I personally think that’s the best way to go. I watch Matt Armstrong but let’s be honest very few of us will ever own a super car. So I like to watch relatable content about cars that I can actually go out and buy like the videos you’ve been dropping recently. Adam Ivel gave me some good advice when I first started my channel DoRoad UK. Do what you enjoy doing and don’t chase views. If your having a good time it comes across on camera and it doesn’t matter if you don’t get loads of views as your just filming what you enjoy. Keep up the good work mate, I’ve been watching you since you first started and you were one of the people who made me want to film my life with cars.

I think for quite some time I could tell that your heart hasn’t been fully in it. That’s not a criticism that’s just an observation. I hope whatever route you choose to go down works for you mate. Im also 35 and a parent like yourself and it can feel like you’re being pushed and pulled every which way by your job, your kids, your misses, your mates etc and sometimes you do just need to take a step back, take stock of the situation and change your course to one that suits you better. I had a bit of a social media following for a time building a business from the ground up and vlogging as I went. I only had a very small following but I definitely felt the pressure to stay current, relatable and constant. So I can’t imagine what it must be like for someone who’s in your shoes doing it as a form of income. I quite it all about a year ago and it’s honestly the best thing I ever did. As you say you can waste so much time editing, stocking up on content etc that you do end up missing lots of your home life. Obviously I had the luxury of having a business that brought the money in and the vlog side of it was more for fun and sponsorships etc. so when I quit it didn’t make any difference to my standard of life. But in your situation it’s your living so it’s not quite as simple as just not recording co tent anymore. Whatever you end up doing though mate I wish you all the best. Especially with that Maserati 😅 I hope it doesn’t give you too much grief 😂

Alright mate just to add my two pence worth. Been watching your channel from the beginning and think it hit its peak in 2016 to 2017 . But alot of channels are struggling to even Adam C did a video not long ago that his view count has dropped off. I still watch the occasional video but the same as you I have a three year old and I don't think some people understand how much time they take up so trying to be creative and think of new videos content edit it and get it live is a alot of work. The problem is the big channels have the sponsors money and team to do it so they can just be the face of the channel. I know Matt Armstrong still edits his videos but he has a team behind him also as much as I love his content I think his got such a big market share that he has killed off alot of other content, that's where the money is at moment it was car reviews but Jayemm has that wrapped up the car re builds will have its day to. Also the car enthusiast is slowly dieing there's just not as many people into cars now. I'd just keep trying different things until you find something that works keep at it 💯 👌
Surely you could do builds, teach yourself, have a go! Most of the time you’ll atleast break even on the car/small profit! …but only if you do all the work yourself, I feel like allot of your viewers got fed up when you gave up on projects I’ve seen a few… (riced out fiesta) where you gave up from a little rust on the chassis legs, as a self taught welder I’ve fixed worse the day before an mot! I just think the viewers want to see you getting stuck in rather than getting the professionals involved

The car review thing has been oversaturated for a long time. I usually tend to watch the weird stuff and sometimes the completely random stuff like doing home renovations or something like that interests me more than the car stuff. Doing the vlog style videos sounds like a good idea, spending more time with one’s kids is better than anything really, you really can’t get those moments back if you weren’t there…
I'm going to to working on my channel Iv did a test video practice shots on a mates abarth then we went out and did some rolling shots as another practice video that video went live over a month ago got a few 100 views in 2 weeks then went stale I'm going to do more to see what I like best id like to talk to people about their car next time so IV got a car show to go to in September I just need to get a mic it will take time but il get there
RUclips has changed again since I’ve been watching , it’s all re building crashed Audis ect or group road trips in shit boxes tying to be like top gear used to be.. before the car review era I only came on RUclips for laughs on funny vids or how to fix something, now YT it’s all I watch (mostly car stuff). There’s still no better intro on here than your old ride or die intro proper quality mate best of luck with your quest
I was hoping to see a good constant stream of content on the caddy being built but there's been nothing, think it's all changed and you've been left behind a bit would I rather watch a vid on a focus or a 300c or a video from Matt Armstrong say where they don't drag stuff out over tons of videos they just put a video out jammed full of content

For 178k sub’s. Your video views are shockingly low! How are you making money to survive? 3-5k views per video is just not worth-it! Evil GT called it quits and they were getting relatively decent views. But as a business. For two. Paying people to do a lot of their stuff. They just couldn’t make it work. Which sucks!

I'm going to to working on my channel Iv did a test video practice shots on a mates abarth then we went out and did some rolling shots as another practice video that video went live over a month ago got a few 100 views in 2 weeks then went stale I'm going to do more to see what I like best id like to talk to people about their car next time so IV got a car show to go to in September I just need to get a mic it will take time but il get there
RUclips has changed again since I’ve been watching , it’s all re building crashed Audis ect or group road trips in shit boxes tying to be like top gear used to be.. before the car review era I only came on RUclips for laughs on funny vids or how to fix something, now YT it’s all I watch (mostly car stuff). There’s still no better intro on here than your old ride or die intro proper quality mate best of luck with your quest

I was hoping to see a good constant stream of content on the caddy being built but there's been nothing, think it's all changed and you've been left behind a bit would I rather watch a vid on a focus or a 300c or a video from Matt Armstrong say where they don't drag stuff out over tons of videos they just put a video out jammed full of content

Evil GT called it quits and they were getting relatively decent views.
But as a business. For two. Paying people to do a lot of their stuff. They just couldn’t make it work. Which sucks!
I do RUclips full time too.. You don’t necessarily need big views from new videos
