I love that the guys and women in the marching band are all older. It makes me wonder if any of them marched with Future Corps in EPCOT in the late 80s . I think they lasted into the early 2000s. Anyway, kind of an emotional ending to the 50th. Thanks for sharing, Adam!

I remember the first family vacation in florida going to Disney world for the bicentennial celebration in 76. You used to have all those different tickets for the different attractions. As a six year old I still remember that vacation and how Disney set the bar for rides. The eastern airlines ride was so cool where it was kind of like the prototype of the imax theater on an amusement ride. My how Disney has evolved.
We didn’t renew our passes going on a year and a half now. During our last trip they had all this 50th anniversary stuff up and marketing for it. Since we always stay on site we visited the gift shop and found next to nothing commemorating the 50th. It was like they posted ads for it to get you to the park but then did nothing- seems pretty standard for Disney these days. Sigh… Adam as always - thanks 🙏

Time sure flys. Hopefully the next celebration Disney does will have more fanfare. Odd they did not do it up like they usually do. Even with the vid. Anyway, great stuff as always Adam!
Maybe if Disney wasn't so busy spending tons of money buying up all the movie production companies and tv shows and whatever else, they could put more effort into bringing the magic back to the theme parks.
How do key holders, that go to the parks weekly, sustain the magic ? It seems real challenging live the magic . Like I know I can't hotdogs everyday. If I do, I lose the love for hot dogs - like I only eat them just to eat . To keep that magic , I have to limit myself .
Our family enjoyed the 50th celebration when we were there in June. For those of us who don't visit the parks several times a week, it was a nice celebration.
I don't visit often, and was super underwhelmed with the "celebration", and hyper overwhelmed with the prices, crowds and lack of magic. To each their own.
Agreed. I hadn’t been to WDW in 8 years and I was able to go this past October and I had a great time. I already know what Disney prices are like so I was prepared for that. The only thing that really bothers me is that free fast passes are gone and we have to pay for Lightning Lane if we don’t want to wait for hours in a queue.
Driving along the monorail reminded me of when I was young I was watching an episode of Superboy and a car was going down the road and the Disney monorail beam was in the background. I yelled “That’s at Disney World!”
We were due to visit WDW last year and I was disappointed when we had to cancel and miss the 50th. However from what’s been said we didn’t miss much but I would’ve liked to see the gold statues. Do you think the castle gold ribbons will stay?

I remember when the tram did that loop. It was when TTC was going through the last refurbishment which honestly seemed like the first refurbishment. It was definitely pre parks closure, 2018-2019 is when I’m pretty sure it was in effect. It’ll be nice when the trams return to other parks and the park reservations go soon. To be perfectly honest, I’m pretty sure mediocre is what they wanted it to be. It was one of the biggest reasons why I decided to quit my job at Disney after 13 years and a layoff. It seemed like they didn’t want us to care or go that extra step that always made Disney service a cut above the competition. I’m in the process of filming my latest video on the many reasons why I had to leave the company I enjoyed. It’s been pretty cathartic to get through.

Disney (DIS) CEO Bob Iger has enacted the first steps of his long-awaited turnaround strategy ahead of the media giant's annual shareholder meeting on April 3. Iger, who stepped back into the CEO position in November, will likely face questions over the future of core assets like ESPN and Hulu, in addition to the company's restructuring efforts after the media giant began mass layoffs earlier this week. It's Tax Season The company reportedly eliminated its metaverse division, shrank the size of its ABC News executive team, and let go of Isaac Perlmutter, the chairman of Marvel Entertainment, as part of this first round of layoffs. Hello from Phoenix Arizona❗🔥
It's Tax Season
The company reportedly eliminated its metaverse division, shrank the size of its ABC News executive team, and let go of Isaac Perlmutter, the chairman of Marvel Entertainment, as part of this first round of layoffs.
More job cuts will come in April and right before the summer to reach the company's previously announced 7,000-job target, Iger said in an internal memo obtained by Yahoo Finance.
My God, what a jobsworth telling you not to record... that dude has all the credentials to wreck your day 😏👌🏼
How did you arrange for No Leaf blower during the intro?
Do you find the new rules difficult for visiting the parks? A lot of changes.
Hey Adam did you open those mystery pins yet? If so, what were they?

That was probably that security guards first day with his Mickey badge, and wanted to feel powerful.. lol. You were nowhere near the security check point, and were clearly just recording the metal Mickey.. some people, I swear.
It’s depressing to see a celebration at a park close down, then it feels like the magic is gone
