this has got to be the freakiest Storm video I've ever seen in my entire life I jumped out of my skin when you turn the porch light on just for a split second I'm so glad no lightning struck your house I'm so glad those trees didn't come through either because those trees are like the trees in my parents yard I hate storms but I love watching them on TV and online every time a storm comes my way it says shivers down my spine cuz I hate them so much
You must not be very far from my area, some of the same dates on these videos are dates I had good ones in Ashland, KY. Quite a handful of MCS's last summer here. I'm hoping this summer has less heat but still comes with rain and storms. June 8 we escaped a lot of the outages and downed trees, but just over the river into Ironton I heard it did some damage. And then the storm on June 13th I think was the most incredible lightning show, non-stop for 2 hours straight.
Ashland is about a 2hr drive from here. Last June was very active, but this June has been very dry. Not a drop of rain here since May 19th. I know this storm was a long line that covered a lot of areas. So it's definitely possible that we got hit by the same line of storms. I have a video that I uploaded shortly after this one. It's of a tornado warned supercell that I believe may have formed a brief EF1 or EF0 in the woods behind my house. As there was a lot of tree damage in an isolated area. And i know at least one EF1 formed in a small town West of here, as they had a lot of tree damage and some even lost parts of their roofs. And yes, I agree the lightning show on June 13th was quite beautiful.
