  • I have been avoiding other playthroughs and spoilers to Fallout New Vegas for literally years, all for this blind playthrough!
Alongside that, I am going to be visiting many of the real life locations I find within the game! I'll have a preview of my visit during the intro, then show my full trip during the outro.

Nice Episode! You jumped ahead of a story quest later in the game with the bomber, the short of it is, a group wants to bring the bomber back and it may help you in return. Go to Nellis Airforce base to learn more. If you are looking for good looting, the vaults that are full of goods, and they're tough as nails combat wise. Each vault also has multiple quests associated with it, but don't worry about breaking quest sequencing, New Vegas is good at not soft-locking you. There are also several unmarked areas with a high amount of loot on the corners of the map, but those areas are extremely tough and rewarding.
Robobrains are a common Fallout trope. They've appeared in the first games. One of the criticisms old Fallout fans have of the new 3d games is that Robots and Tech in the game was originally very 1950s Retrofuturism, basically what people in the 50s imagined the world would be like in the far future. It's not a deal breaker, but it can cause some tonal shifts and dissonance, especially in Fallout 4 where you got the Mr. Handy's and Protectrons being 50s Retrofuturism and the Assaultron and Synths being 80s Cyberpunk. I don't mind too much, but this has been a debate in the community for a while.
For your completionism ich, you missed some great loot in the Hoover Dam closet with the vats of green radiation. Look a little more there, and keep your eye out for goods or you'll miss them.
    Can't wait to see more!

All good tips! I thought that radiation room was odd, but the radiation made me hurry and since so many other locations don't have any loot, I didn't think much of it. I'll definitely head back there though!

Spoiler-free tips on where to roam for Boone content: Road east of Novac, listen to him when he chimes in. Aside from that there's further south of Novac - there's some NCR personnel stationed near a hazardous location and you can do a thing for them. Then find a big camp east by the river and immediately go for a follow-up chat with the NCR peeps (there's no hint to return to them for that follow up quest) - once done you gain more Boone respect which goes toward activating his personal quest.
P.S. The game knows exactly what to do about you being earlier than expected in the Dam - it goes along with its routine and assumes you will do other things until you're summoned there. Sometimes you're not supposed to fix every turbine as soon as you enter a place managed by someone else.
