Thank you so much! My Granddaughter just asked me last night to make her a Mum. I live in California and have never heard of one and had no idea where to start...wish me luck!
Hi Vanessa, I'd use a large safety pin, possibly two if the mum is really heavy. There are a few ways to attach the pin. The method used depends on the weight of the mum, so you may have to test it one or two ways until you find what works with your mum. Method 1 - You can make two small holes in the back disc for either end of the pin (placed between the discs) to poke through to the back. Method 2 - You could use hot glue or a sturdy tape (like duct tape) to attach the pin. Method 3 - You can make a small loop of ribbon, staple it to the back plate at the top and pin the ribbon on the girl's outfit. Hope this helps!
Hey Amanda. So glad this was helpful for you. It seems overwhelming at first, but once you get into it the process is easy and fun. Hope you have fun at Homecoming!
Hi! You should be able to find them at any craft supply store like Hobby Lobby, Michael's, JoAnn's, etc. They often have ribbons that fit the local schools. Glad the video was helpful!
Hi Carley. Yes, you should be able to buy a lot of these supplies at Walmart. They may not have the customized ribbon that local craft stores will have, but you can find the generic ribbon colors and other items at Walmart.
Did it. It took about 15 mins. Was a super easy tutorial. Thanks so much!

How long are guys mums usually ?
Hi Positive Vibes. The mums for the guys are about 12 inches long. You can make it a little longer or shorter depending on supplies and the guy's arm.
