I apologize for the choppy ass video quality, my computer had a seizure a few days ago.
I decided to stop by this modulator during me and my family's summer vacation, apparently the reason there was 2 noon whistles was because of the 4th of July parade that was just about to happen. All in all, it was pretty exiting to see some sort of siren activation outside of Texas or Oklahoma lol.
For Those of you who don’t know, A very peculiar Mobil Directo with a vertical horn used to stand at this location right next to the Whelen. It was sadly removed as of 2018. RIP.
The Whelen is most likely dead. There are 2 other modulators located throughout Seward; One at the Seward police department, and one at the Seward Elementary school. Might be a 4th, not totally sure where it is though.

Seward has sirens to warn fire, tsunami.
Additionally, Seward Church and fire department maintains a electronic siren system on light pole, and fire department, which presumably inactive and display.
Remove and replace a Mobil Directo on 2005 and 2011.
The Whelen is inactive, both replaced by the Modulator on 2006. Used as tsunami siren.

Nope, it’s sitting in the Public works yard. I wasn’t aware of it at the time of this recording unfortunately.
