❤ this bag! I removed the short handle, and re-sewed a trigger snap in the leather loop, and now the short handle is removable. I never use the short handle, so it just adds bulk/weight - best modification ever! I do leather work as a hobby so I know how to restore to it original form if I want to resell it.

I purchased the Loewe Puzzle (small) on New Year’s Eve and it is in the exact same colorway as yours except it is now called “Oak”. It is tone on tone just like yours, which I prefer. The smooth calfskin is buttery soft with beautiful complimentary gold hardware. I love it so much, especially the slouch. I too wish the zipper would run the full length of the bag but it’s a very minor con for me. I purchased a bag organizer so that it’s a little more organized inside and easier to locate my items. I have not seen the messenger style men’s hobo puzzle bag in real nor I have tried it so I cannot really give my opinion. Looking at this bag online, I would say it has a similar vibe to the classic puzzle but I am less a fan of the proportion. It looks less versatile and has no feet (from what I can see) so I like the classic puzzle better.

I’ve only heard great things about the Loewe puzzle bag however I’ve seen it in the boutique in 2020 and I wasn’t impressed with the quality of the stitching I must say. But I always find it gorgeous in videos but it suits men better IMHO. I love the colour you picked. ✨
I love the zip and flap. When i travel to some European countries where there are pickpockets i would zip up. Otherwise no and it still looks presentable because of the flap.

You are welcome! Honestly, I do not find it heavy at all. If you are purchasing it in Paris, I would recommend the Saint Honore boutique. If you are looking for a specific model and even if they do not have it in the boutique, they will have it ship to it (if available). That what happened with mine. Good luck!

I also have a 13" laptop (macbook pro) and had a few questions: 1) when you put the computer in the bag, does it sit flat on the floor of the bag or must it sit on its side (or at a diagonal) to fit? 2) does putting a computer and standard 8.5x11" notebooks make the bag look misshapen or ugly when using it? Does it make the bag look overstuffed? 3) does putting a computer and notebooks in the bag tear, wear down, or otherwise harm the textile lining inside? 4) how would you say the bag, overall, has held up under wear and usage? what parts of the bag show the most wear? Given the shape of the puzzle bag I doubt I can find a bag organizer (or base shaper) that will fit it so the way the contents impact the bag's wear and shape are more important. Thanks for your thoughts!
Hi Jared, first of all, thanks for your kind comment. It means a lot. My loewe large puzzle is honestly my current favorite and I would not recommend it enough. To answer to your questions: 1) your laptop would have to fit in diagonal but I would recommend to not go with a 13" but a 11". . 2) I'm generally carrying a 11" Google Chrome in this bag and while you can feel it, you don't really notice it from the outside. 3) I didn't notice any impact of the inside of the bag. 4) I would say that, despite some minor and expected scratches, as well as the leather damaged im referring to in the video, the bag has held up under wear and usage. I haven't researched bag organizers for this particular bag. I hope this helps!
