this is a payback for the oscars not giving love to Nolan before lmao
The fact we’re gonna go from EEAAO to Oppy this year is an absolute delight. Both of them are sweepers in a preferential voting era. Oppy will also be the highest grossing movie since The Return of the King to win BP. We might see the return of BP sweepers in this decade (eg Dances with Wolves, Schindler’s List, The English Patient, Titanic a throwback to the 90s)
Oppenheimer is so winning Best Picture
It won pga best film last night too.. it’s a lock.
I’ve never seen a sweep like this for one movie
Oppenheimer sweeps soo hard
It's very much likely for the Oscars at this point
@@nathantucker8489 for sure
@@nathantucker8489 it’s a lock for best picture it won pga last night too
Oppenheimer deserved Oscar better than Everything everywhere at all once
@@carlosatausupa8429 absolutely for sure. Oppenheimer did something that EEAAO couldn't do, win the GG, CC, BAFTA, SAG, and PGA all together
I called it, The Boy and the Heron will win BAFTA and Golden Globes while Across the Spider-Verse gets Critics Choice and PGA. Whoever wins, I am perfectly fine because they are both great movies with or without an Oscar.
Spiderverse won the Annie too.
@@laurajones1773 So is gonna win the Oscar now over The Boy & the Heron
The Spider-Verse franchise is proof that we're not tired of superhero movies, we're tired of bad superhero movies.
This is the greatest form of domination across any awards season in my entire lifetime. There is absolutely NO way that Oppenheimer loses Best Picture at the Oscars. I am ready for a sweep.
Everything Everywhere All At Once literally took 6/7 above the line categories. It layout wasn't even nominated for Best Actor. That film dominated like no BP winner ever. It's a joke for filmmaking
It won every award that came before the Oscars golden globe, critics choice, Bafta, dga,sag and pga last night so it’s a lock for best picture.
@@SoulKnightKing not really… return of the king dominated and so did slumdog millionaire…
I think for animation: TBATH is literally Klaus. Toy story won only CCA & PGA, it won not even at the annies soo big if ATSV. I think ATSV is then for my the prediction for the oscar.
I think so too. The Best Animated Feature race this year reminds me of the Best Animated Feature race from 4 years ago. It’s a race between an animated sequel vs. an original hand drawn animated film.
My theory....😬
I'm love The Boy and The Heron by Hayao Miyazaki but Spider-Verse 2 will be stolen from the Oscars for best animated film
Regarding Animated Feature. The Eddie awards historically has been the best predictor. Since being introduced in 2010 the winner has gone on to win the Oscar for Animated Feature every year. Though Boy and the Heron shockingly wasn’t nominated. Although maybe this is the year the record goes down.
The only winner for ACE Eddie Award for Best Animated Feature that did not win the Oscar for Best Animated Feature is The LEGO Movie which wasn’t even nominated for the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. The Oscar went to Big Hero 6 which was nominated at the ACE Eddie Award. The Boy and the Heron wasn’t nominated there.
Yes!!!!!!!! 🙌🏻 Nolan supremacy! 😅👑
Spiderverse is going on the same path as Toy Story 4, Encanto and many others.
I would be surprised if The Boy and The Heron takes the Oscar.
Encanto won the Golden Globe and BAFTA, while Mitchells vs The Machines won Critics Choice and Annie, it's actually quite the opposite from Spider-Verse
@@TheHannahcast oh my bad😭
But i think Toy Story 4 vs Klaus is a good a race to look at before predict this year best animated feature.
Encanto won PGA. The Boy and the Heron did not win that. I think the PGA winner will win the Oscar. The last time the PGA winner did not win the Oscar was The LEGO Movie, and that was 9 years ago.

Superhero movie fatigue is here but not for Spider-Verse 2. (That's where a lot of people are stu....) . Spider-Verse 2 deserves even if...
I haven’t seen nomadland but I’m gonna check it but Thank u for saying EEAO wasn’t great… it’s like one of the worst best picture winners since crash. Oppenheimer is gonna reset the way award seasons go and hopefully hollywood will strive to make movies as good as Oppenheimer in the coming years so we can have exciting award seasons.
The Worst Best Picture Winner since Crash was absolutely not EEAAO. EEAAO was the best picture winner since Schindler’s List.
@@harmenmoes9138 hahahahahahha … dood what ? That movie was complete and utter trash Schindler’s list was a moving masterpiece by probably top 5 directors of all time.. Schindler’s list depicted the holocaust so accurately it’s shown in schools across the U.S. for history class… It has a 9 out of 10 on IMDb. EEAO won to push an agenda of progressiveness having all Asian cast and making an Asian female win best actress for the first time it didn’t win by any merit… I love Michelle Yeoh but she wasn’t great in there. It has 7.8 out of 10 on IMDb. Thats a mediocre score… the directors barely have any resume… Also its been admitted that the editor was learning how to edit while making the movie like wtf.
@@harmenmoes9138Yeah, exactly. EEAAO is a movie that will be remembered for years, whereas most people don't even mention or rewatch movies like Coda or Crash. That's why EEAAO was refreshing to see win Best Picture. It was a heartfelt movie about a family that is struggling to deal with problems like taxes, depression, marital problems etc. But it brought in over the top sci fi action and humor that helped keep the average audience engaged. The amazing performances of Ke Huy Kwan and Stephanie Hsu especially made me love the movie more. Watching the scene towards the end when Joy and Evelyn are reconciling is a theater experience I will never forget. So to call it the "worst" Best Picture winner is just ridiculous imo.
@@coldatom542 Yeah, exactly. The Worst BP Winner since Crash was The King’s Speech (am an Green Book defender)
No one mentions Nomadland anymore either.
I like Oppenheimer, but this sweep is ridicolus, i would love to see some places give best picture to The Holdovers, Poor Things, Killers of the Flower Moon or American Fiction.
Oppenheimer’s sweep is not “ridiculous”. It’s actually 100% well deserved.
I wish Anatomy of a Fall won Best Picture somewhere like BAFTA.
But oscar hates Nolan always has been always will be. I think he wont get best director or best picture but we can only wait and see
They will get both of them.
You’re overthinking this.
@@myytchanneldinakoha8498truth hurts
What are u even talking about ? It’s a lock he has won every award leading up to the Oscars including DGA directors guild and pga producers guild.
Nolan deserved win by Best Director😢
