It makes me so saddened to see the effort and creative process behind this ride, everyone who was so passionate about it and even rewrote the score to make sure that the guests were getting the exact vision they wanted, having their creation become nothing like its former self. Its insulting. Hyperspace mountain doesnt deserve another second as the ‘overlay’ but they’ve kept it for years. Just imagine how they it feel. Having your hard work and vision taken away for first mission 2, and now hyperspace. The ride didnt need changing at all and im afraid they will never let it go back to its former glory. If by some miracle they decide to change it back, just imagine how much more advanced the story and visuals would be thanks to all the new technology.
Maaan i remember riding this ride (paris) in my first or second year in highschool.Rode it with a nice girl of my class. Must have been in the end of the 90's. So much fun
I didn't get to ride this until it was "Mission 2" and I wish I'd got to see the full Jules Verne experience, but they've really ruined it slapping Star Wars in :')

Wow. I never knew how much engineering and imagination goes into a Disney attraction, let alone Space Mountain at Disneyland Paris. So inspiring.
I love this ride, it's my favorite at Paris (and so is Tower Of Terror)
Same here!

Amazing video :)
They should restore the ride back to this version as it was simply astounding. Ruined it since then
When imagineering was innovating every other tuesday
They never make shows like this anymore
👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻♥️
A shame they ruined this ride with the mission 2 makeover... And they'll ruin it even more when they remake it into a star wars ride in 2017...
On the upside, it still has the same concept as all the other versions around the world - Give guests the sensation of flying through SPACE.
Hmm I wonder why Paris's space mountain gets a documentary, and none for florida and california
Matthew Kucera maybe cus our space mountain is the best of all disney parks and also a masterpiece and has a consistent storyline
probably bc the Florida and California versions weren't nearly as groundbreaking
