      I don’t really charge them at all. Walleye are equipped to feed at night.

      @@AnglerX , I have been out applying your tactics to my fishing game on the river but have only caught one walleye. I have caught small mouth, enough sheep head to feed a small family, and some other miscellaneous fish.
      Any advice on how to dial in on the walleye? It’s great to catch other stuff too, I’m not complaining but I just can’t seem to figure out the eye bite.

    • @AnglerX
      @AnglerX  3 года назад

      Glad to here you’re catching fish! I would look at that as a win. There are so many factors that come into play. That is why fishing is so enjoyable. It’s a constant challenge. The weather has not been great for one, also the walleyes are in transition right now and may be hard to come by. Once we get some warmer weather they will move into their summer patterns and the tactics change again. The techniques I show in this video and the previous ones are most effective for walleye during the prespawn and again in the fall when water temps drop. Keep after em! You’re learning every time on the water.

      @@AnglerX thanks man. I’d be super interested to hear how you change gears in the summer months. I’m sure you’ll do a video on that. 👍

      For the most part I stop fishing for walleye until fall but maybe I’ll try to do a summer walleye video 🤔. I like fishing for everything!

    Lance, Thanks for sharing the baits you use. Great information on fishing wing dams. If the flow is to heavy I move in towards shore where the flow lessens.

    • @AnglerX
      @AnglerX  3 года назад +1

      That’s a great point! The flow is typically slower closer to shore.

    X, great video AGAIN! What color jighead do you prefer on the big muddy? Thanks.

    • @AnglerX
      @AnglerX  3 года назад

      I usually use a chartreuse or a bright green but honestly I don’t think it plays a big roll in getting bites. I used to use unpainted jig heads and had just as good of success.

    I'm glad Mr. Sheepshead made a appearance. I was beginning to think that you had super powers and only hooked gamefish or you were editing out the rejects. 😜 Honestly if don't catch at least 1 drum when fishing that river I think its a omen... Thank you for this vid I will be inspecting wing dams a bit more this year (ty spot lock) and your explanations make perfect sense.

    How far up from the wig dam do you usually anchor on regular pool?

    • @AnglerX
      @AnglerX  3 года назад +1

      Typical close enough to where I can just reach the dam with my cast. That way I can find what part of the dam the fish are relating to. May be on top of the dam, on the face of the dam or the flat just upstream. You will have better luck getting to the bottom the farther you cast.
