Anyone got advice for someone interested in getting into scrapers? Been IUOE for 10 years, lighter mechanic stuff. Want to get into the operating side of things. Looking into the training site already just wondering if someone has any sound advice.

Its wierd that I work doing this for 39 years, yet I still love watching these videos at home.
Not weird at all. I currently do this sort of work and still love watching these videos.
What part of the country did you work on?
So I'm not alone. Thank you, guys, for making me feel normal.
Missing the sound

Spent my summer's greasing and fueling these machines!!
Besides moving the earth, they have to get it compacted correctly so as to avoid future settlement under the houses and streets.
They have a lot to move.

What is the point of moving a hill?
This ain't an illusion
That looks a lot more like a mountain rather than a hill
Pretty small mountain.
@@deth3021 large hill then?
@@deth3021 yeah, i guess it depends on how far away you're filming from
@@graniteamerican3547 not even, to me at least looks pretty average.

You must have at least 6 kids and you're stuck running a scraper for the rest of your life bud. Work on it.
