These guys chemistry is other worldly, they are so connected it's crazy. The only reason I watch the Flash, Grant and Candice chemistry. Who ever put these two guys together was genius. There is no couple that can match their chemistry.

1) Iris has problems? Shocker, she is a human being. So does Barry, so does Cisco, so does Cait...
Marrying someone is not living a problem-free life, is overcoming issues and coming together even stronger. Any other woman that Barry could have had a relationship with would have issues also.
2) Cait did not "get rid of her husband". Sounds like people want to kill off everyone untill they are the only ones remaining. To be fair, considering how Barry never looked at her that way that would probably be the only way for them to be together...

My wife and I enjoy this couple's love; it about what the bring to each other and how they strengthen one another. My wife and I just binged all 6 seasons in just over 2 months. Looking forward to season 7! Season 7 needs more sensual scenes with Barry and iris ones she gets out that mirror-verse! And my wife says a tear jerking wedding too! We have to add a positive pregnancy test too for when the show eventually ends.

There is a video on here in which Grant wishes her a Happy Birthday and then he says as his birthday gift to her, he is going "to shave his beard and then cry" It is so cute and adorable. I want so badly to support the story these two great actors have bought to life (though I often think Candice as Iris doesn’t enough time to be as good as she has occasionally proven she can be) but I have two challenges that make it harder. The first is how much we are TOLD they are perfect and that rubs me the wrong way because of the show don’t tell storytelling rule but also because all of their actual relationship issues are basically solved by people telling them how perfect they are for each other. Despite the chemistry they do have, the story pushes them together in ways that don’t feel earned to me personally. The second issue is a direct result of that which is the way Barry acted in season 1. Eddie was actually a really good guy who genuinely loved Iris and Barry acted like he somehow stole her from him. He never had to face the reality that it was really shitty of him to act that way, and what’s more is that Iris never acknowledged it either. Then she fell in love with Barry....but when did he earn her love? The whole westallen love story just started on this uncomfortable note of Barry using the fact that he is the flash to basically usurp and add issues to a relationship that by all accounts was strong and healthy enough to warrant a genuine possible future for them so that Iris would finally notice him, then in season two she did I’m supposed to be happy for them...I dunno. Long story short Barry’s actions and attitude surrounding Iris in season one ruined my ability to root for them as a couple, and the solution to their troubles most commonly being other people pointing out how good they are for each other without putting in that kind of work to SHOW us that, has made it hard for me to change that mindset. I think the actors do a great job with what they’re given, but these things constantly gnaw at me. Plus...I often felt that a more unspoken chemistry existed between Grant and Danielle, while this chemistry-despite certainly being real-at least somewhat requires calling attention to in the same way this video does. However these are my own opinions and views, and I know not everyone shares them.
Isnt it a bit unfair to judge a relationship just from the first season? Barry was really kind of an ass about her relationship with Eddie but they have grown so much since then. She loved him before finding out he was the flash (as proved in 1×15) but it took a while to be in the same page. But ever since they proved time and time again that they love each other...
It was a bit rushed but all the relationships Barry had were too. Like him and Patty when she wanted him to ask her to stay instead of going to CSI school after just a few months of dating.
They knew each other since childhood and when he finally got the girl he liked he wanted to stay with her forever. Is a story that has been told time and time again so I kinda relate.
And as for Grant and Danielle, other than they look cute side by side I really dont see the chemistry. They don't even have the best friendship on the show. Cisco is more of a friend to both of them than they are to each other....
Also people do videos like these to showcase their chemistry using videos of things that happened and when they try to argue about a chemistry between Barry and Caitlin they either argue about their taste in clothes, overanalise their scenes together or screenshot scenes of Barry and Caitlin out of context to form a narrative. That really does not seem like a "unspoken connection" to me. Just wishful thinking....
Mariana Gouvea Mariana Gouvea that’s definitely not why I thought they had stronger chemistry, though I can imagine seeing things like that would make that harder to believe. I thought he had a similar chemistry with Patty actually, so it’s not just about Caitlin. To me there just felt like a certain spark between them, in a similar way as the initial spark between Oliver and Felicity. As for the growth...it’s not that they haven’t grown since then. It’s that Barry didn’t grow much from his season one self before Iris committed to him. He was an ass in season one and didn’t have to face a reckoning for that pretty much ever. To me personally it always felt like he thought he was owed Iris somehow, particularly in the first few seasons but even a bit now. He is super possessive of her in my book. When we find out that Iris always loved him it’s that issue of tell don’t show as well-it didn’t feel earned to me. as I mentioned it’s not that their current relationship is bad, (even though I’d prefer less of their problems being solved by the characters making speeches about how perfect they are together) it’s about the fact that the love story supposedly started during a time when Barry was actively and purposefully disrupting Iris’ solid relationship with someone else. He is not owed Iris, he never was. I just wanted him to stop being so possessive of her before their relationship started, but since that didn’t happen and Iris didn’t even leave Eddie by choice but by tragedy, everything since has felt uncomfortable. But again, that’s just my personal view. You’re free to have your own, obviously.
Oh and to clarify I didn’t mean grant and Danielle as people, I obviously know they aren’t in love in real life, I meant as they portrayed their characters on the show. It was just a looser, more natural chemistry on the show in my eyes. But again, you’re free to disagree.

Honestly I can understand how you see it as rushed because of how it was kinda informed to us that they were destined and to some people that is not their cup of tea. But remember he also gave her time to grieve (an entire season) and when they started a relationship she came to him, not the other way around. And as the development of their relationship I felt it was somewhat fast but they were friends for 20 years before, so they were already confortable with each other. But chemistry is subjective so we could debate for hours and hours and still come out with different views, so better to just acknowledge and move on. And I know you mean Barry and Cait and not Danielle and Grant. But those are the interactions that people read into it and do videos about how he "looked sad" when she got married or looks longingly from afar when thats not the narrative. Honestly I see their chemistry as friends like I see with Cisco, even more so with him so it does not come across as romantic. With Oliver and Felicity it was explicitly a crush in day 1 and develop after that. The same was not mentioned in any way shape or form in their relationship so it feels forced to me when people try and point it out cause the only things I remember is the time when it could have happened and he was completely disinterested and went out with Linda instead. It feels that people look for Barry to be with someone who is like him like Patty or Caitlin but he wants someone who is precisely the opposite. Like Caitlin and Ronnie, is not an easy going not challenging relationship but the opposites attract trope that finds strengths in the differences. Is a different storyline than people usually see but it works too...

He never told Iris No. She didn’t tell him how she felt until when he was trying to get his speed back after he gave it to zoom for Wally. He didn’t reply, but soon after that he said he wanted to give them a try when she pulled him out of the speed force, but then his dad was killed in same episode so that delayed their relationship a couple of episodes because he felt too broken.
Bro, Caitlin was never on Barry's mind! 😂 He was dealing with a lot at the time, that's why he didn't answer right away. And again, after he cleared his mind in the Speed Force, he came back to Iris.
Barry has said it countless times, Iris is the love of his life. Always has been and always will be.
