MHXX is actually a pretty good 4 star, tbh. Here's why. 1) She's an arts servant and what servants do you normally pair with an arts servant? Tamamo. Now her short cooldown is even shorter. Arts servants or their supports are also mostly made up of servants with np drain, def buffs, and heals which more than makes up for her first skill which combines both her atk up and invi. 2) Her second skill may seem odd at first, but why not use that skill for your other two members instead? Use it to distribute those stars to help the rest of your team cycle their NPs - basically granting them ability to crit to gain more np gauge. 3) As for her third and most probably her weakest skill (it's average btw), note that they don't just call it "increased damage to foreigners". They call it "threat to humanity". This means that she is useful in big boss fights *cough* TREES. And even if there aren't any of those enemies... those 30% charge is plenty good enough. MHXX, is like Saberlot, in a sense. Arts servant with a crit theme. Saberlot may have better skills, but MHXX does have an invincibility, a 170% damage boost, a damage niche, not to mention better passives ranging from innate star absorb, crit up, higher hit counts, star generation, and shorter cooldowns. Tldr, give her a try... you won't regret it.

At base to a basic file she makes the low stars good nukes like ushi while the more whale set up needs high level gacha servants. Merlin works well with both since we get a nice few buster aoe and st for damage and tamano probably easiest with how many arts units we get with events and the base gacha plus Dr p
I'm going to NP 5 & grail her to 100 and then you'll see how "she's not that great at killing saber"! hah! Every MHX can be better than archers already, gaining more from proper setup!

The main selling point for XX is really being the most accessible Foreigner in the game, honestly. Also, because of how "saber servant" works, I think this the same deal as MHXA where the original class is what matters. So a fergus turned rider triggers it, but a (rider) astolfo turned saber won't. This means that in theory, MHXX's true niche is a originally saber servant turned foreigner that's also a threat to humanity. Anyways, while Jeanne may be the best summer servant this year, I think MHXX wins the best swimsuit servant of the year. Totes different. Also, I love the flavour of the second skill, as dubiously useful as it might be. It's supposed to be a skill about detective intuition. However, at rank E, this amounts to her accidentally saying something that makes others realize the key to the case. Hence, she doesn't get the stars. Amazing.

You’re definitely right that her NP’s bonus in Sabers does seem all that good. I could see if there is a skill that maybe forcibly adds the Saber class trait for possibly her third skills as part of a rank up event. That would make her skills a little less limited in their function and give a new and more powerful way of using her NP. They did something similar but the inverse with Nobu Summer by adding the flaming territory trait for three turns when using her NP which benefits her attack up skill. And that was about two years after Summer Nobu’s release, so there could be a chance of it. Maybe with Saber Wars 3?
...Is it weird I am thinking about building MHXX as a crit star battery? Equip her with a 2030 and have her be at the backline so she can come in when you need the stars while still being able to do damage without needing to rely/worry about other classes. I know you could run summer BB in this setup but summer BB tends to rely on her 3rd skill to be a crit star generator.

Starting last summer, she was my first 4* outside of the tutorial summon, my first bond 10 servant, and I was able to get her to NP5 this summer while rolling for BB. She's definitely getting grailed to 100 with gold Fous in my Chaldea.
Since I have all the other Artorias with the exception of Saber vanilla and Lancer vanilla I feel fated to get this one. And I really hope the trend continues for bun-toria next year.

I think the one thing holding her back is her attack buff is tied to her invul. If they put the attack buff on her second skill and put either a def buff or heal on the first I would consider using her.

Just rolled on the revival event banner for her today cause I didn't get her last time. Got NP5 BB but not even a single copy of her. I seem to have great luck with mooncancers for some reason. Got Jinako on my first roll as well. The same can't be said for the other extra classes.
She's fine to use as a backline last resort in Lost Belt. Had her only at NP1 though.it doesn't hit as hard, i think you really need her at Np2+ to see potential in her NP as for 2nd skill. i use it either if she doesn't have command card (and she's not the main attacker) or i could brave chain with 3 command cards (just dont expect anything great because of the demerit). Overall nice to have since foreigner are rare but not top priority unless your like me who likes her.
Honestly what ended up convincing me was a surprising point that her second ascension makes her look like a Symphogear character. So managed to get a couple copies of her in a multi. Not exactly a planned move to go for her. But...it happened. And hey, now I've got a full blown Foreigner team with her, Abby, and Hokusai. So berserkers will get slaughtered. Still probably wasn't too needed to pull for. But she is a pretty fun character so I'm definitely good with it.
You know when traveling through the singularities you know shit is about to get serious when the first boss of camelot is almost as hard as the previous final boss of america. Other than that its gonna be a grueling wait for the summer banners. The art on some of these summer heroines are top tier.

While re-listening to this again, I just recalled that according to AppMedia, both XX (and Xalter. Not X unfortunately) actually have a secret application apparently on their NPs that may make them more superior to Archers.
The key here is that their NPs give bonus damage vs Sabers-class. Naturally you'd think to bring them against Saber-class enemies like Seiba, Musashi, Okita, Sigurd etc.
But which would you rather bring against something like Saber Berserker Raikou? If your answer is an Archer, you have a point, since Archer class also grant defensive options.
However, what would you bring vs a Berserker Sigurd? According to AppMedia, both XX's and Xalter's anti-Saber class buff *will proc* against him. This is because his original class was a Saber. Meaning, in this case, XX and Xalter's NP damage will far exceed someone like Abigail, or any other ST Servant.
On the other hand, using my Saber Berserker Raikou example, both their anti-Saber buffs only works if the original class was a Saber. If the original class was something else, but is CHANGED to Saber, it wont proc. Meaning, in this case, an Archer would be better.
I might try to get a copy of her simply due to her class. Keep up the great work!

You’re definitely right that her NP’s bonus in Sabers does seem all that good. I could see if there is a skill that maybe forcibly adds the Saber class trait for possibly her third skills as part of a rank up event. That would make her skills a little less limited in their function and give a new and more powerful way of using her NP.
They did something similar but the inverse with Nobu Summer by adding the flaming territory trait for three turns when using her NP which benefits her attack up skill. And that was about two years after Summer Nobu’s release, so there could be a chance of it. Maybe with Saber Wars 3?

...Is it weird I am thinking about building MHXX as a crit star battery? Equip her with a 2030 and have her be at the backline so she can come in when you need the stars while still being able to do damage without needing to rely/worry about other classes. I know you could run summer BB in this setup but summer BB tends to rely on her 3rd skill to be a crit star generator.

Starting last summer, she was my first 4* outside of the tutorial summon, my first bond 10 servant, and I was able to get her to NP5 this summer while rolling for BB. She's definitely getting grailed to 100 with gold Fous in my Chaldea.
I love MHXX! Her and Castoria basically 3 turned Oberon for me, and she's basically become my go to Berserker killer
Since I have all the other Artorias with the exception of Saber vanilla and Lancer vanilla I feel fated to get this one. And I really hope the trend continues for bun-toria next year.
TThe Star weight decrease can sometimes come in clutch in boss fights when you need your tamamo or waver to crit and charge some np

I think the one thing holding her back is her attack buff is tied to her invul. If they put the attack buff on her second skill and put either a def buff or heal on the first I would consider using her.
Mhx was my first and only ssr for a long time so in honor of her I shall do my best to roll for her summer self! The threat to humanity thing might be fun for the lols 😂

Just rolled on the revival event banner for her today cause I didn't get her last time. Got NP5 BB but not even a single copy of her. I seem to have great luck with mooncancers for some reason. Got Jinako on my first roll as well. The same can't be said for the other extra classes.

She's fine to use as a backline last resort in Lost Belt. Had her only at NP1 though.it doesn't hit as hard, i think you really need her at Np2+ to see potential in her NP
as for 2nd skill. i use it either if she doesn't have command card (and she's not the main attacker) or i could brave chain with 3 command cards (just dont expect anything great because of the demerit). Overall nice to have since foreigner are rare but not top priority unless your like me who likes her.
She got a small buff in JP. Now, i have her in both accounts but for some reason find difficulty using her.
Only used half the free 150 quartz on Skadi, and I’m feeling lucky. Wish me more luck, I’m gonna need it for BB and for herz
Honestly what ended up convincing me was a surprising point that her second ascension makes her look like a Symphogear character. So managed to get a couple copies of her in a multi. Not exactly a planned move to go for her. But...it happened. And hey, now I've got a full blown Foreigner team with her, Abby, and Hokusai. So berserkers will get slaughtered.
Still probably wasn't too needed to pull for. But she is a pretty fun character so I'm definitely good with it.
