A good read! Reminds me a bit of the 1993 movie starring Bridget Fonda: "Point of No Return." Unlike the Ludlum, the movie protagonist is Fonda, who has a back story roughly equivalent to the psychiatric nurse in the Ludlum. However, the roles reverse in the Fonda movie. It's a good flick I highly recommend - along with the Ludlum.
Have a lot of Ludlams books. I have read 90% of "covert one" and have a few books in my collection. The wrong narrator can, however, kill an audiobook. 7:06:27 this was an excellent book.
After investing 2 hours hoping the book would improve...... i decided to stick with it...... not a good book .... but I certainly appreciate the audiobooks and the narrator's...... the narrator's are quality
Ads every 7 to 10 mins. 35 mins in had 3 sets. Great start seems right up my street but unfortunately the ads destroy any immersion that close together. Sorry.
Try an app called Tube Browser. No adds. A bit clunky but free and great for listening to a story. Find it on here, then close and go on TB. comes up in your history. Job done.👍.
This book is based upon actual happenings,, personally I worked for the UK intelligence agencies, even often in contact with US and other states,,my employer turn against me ,I ended up being firstly convicted of a crime I never committed , sentenced within a closed hearing,,then upon release finding myself being detained under the mental health act, further detained for more years , pumped full of drugs, causing heart attacks ,and damaging health issues,,even to this day fourteen years on. ,I'm on a home office order,, meaning if I refuse to take drugs I'll be returned to a secure hospital,,I can't leave the country,,,so to those that listen to the audio it's based upon facts,it isn't fictional
Unfortunately the reader is an American with a first name Scott, the very reason robotic voices were introduced, Americans can't recognise a difference. At least it is Scott and not Cletus or Katelin.
Thanks for the free book. The reader did an excellent job.
Thx! Double Thx for a human reader!
Thank you for sharing!
I just Chrome searched to see if I could expect a third _Road to_ book, but alas.
_to Gondolfo_ and _to Omaha_ are hilarious!

Just started listening
Perfect for sleeping to ❤
😅
I remember reading this years ago. The man who saw through everything. The woman no one could see through. I'm glad to see someone made an audio.

Well put together and thought provoking. Could see this actually happening as with mk ultra
Great story ....Thanks!!!
Thank you for a human narrator. I will not patronize AI. Not do I listen to audiobooks with commercial interruptions. Darn
❤ very nice. Thanks!

So pay the man and get ads scrubbed! Quit whining.
I read this the first time on my way to Egypt, never forgot how much I like it.

Ends not with a bang but a whimper..
The immovable object (wisdom )vs the irresistible force ( the beautiful woman)
Couldn't stay with it. Way too many commercials.
Too many adverts and no option to skip.
There sure IS a way to scrub ads! Pay for premium service and quit whining!
Who is the narrator?
Scott Sowers, narrator.
Sounds like a slightly different Bourne Identity
commercials every 3 mins screw this
Remember Amalek. Do not forget.
Too many ads to listen to shite
Thanks for the warning. I will not listen to AI or to audiobooks with commercial interruptions.
You must be a Scot ? - ‘shite’ 😀🏴

Walker Shirley Robinson Frank Hall Cynthia
A shame really , all these adds ..
good narrator tho
I paid for premium youtube. No ads at all!
Too many ads! I'm out. With such amount of ads, you clearly show that you are not respecting your audience.
I always thought Ludlum is, at best, a mediocre writer. I was right.

Sounds like the USA could use a home based STAB unit!
