I remember in the community Dover got slated for not wanting to continue the season but good on them. None of us (Blyth fan) should of started the season. We were massively lied to by everyone important above us. And people got fined for not fulfilling fixtures because there was absolutely no need to continue the season when we weren't getting supported....
Some players in national teams started in small clubs as youth so it's bad for football for clubs going bankrupt and dissappear. For example Sebastian Larsson the Swedish international started to play for ifk Eskilstuna which is playing in division 2 in Sweden. Zlatan Ibrahimovic used to play in fbk Balkan as a youth who plays in division 3 Götaland before he got signed to Malmö FF, swedish club in allsvenskan (swedish premier league) is a very good example for smaller clubs. Big teams have scouts actively watching team in lower leagues for talents to snatch.

The owner of Dover Athletic in my opinion is an example to how it should be done. If you get passed by by the government (I'm not British so I don't know the details) I completely understand the actions here! It's not alright for the players and the staff, but whist I understand the predicament it's a statement that needs to be made!

Can you do a pro and con video of the Red Bull Empire? You’ve been very vocal on not being a fan of the Red Bull’s but objectively, it can’t be all bad. Mats Hummels is quoted “I’m a fan of what’s happening at RB Leipzig in sporting terms and how the club has developed.” I myself love the Red Bull Empire and not a lot of fans like when I mention it but oh well.
I'm old enough to remember Dover being denied promotion from the Beezer Homes league in the early 90s because the pitch was on too much of a slope! We will be back, Dover till I die!

@@kal77uk to be fair, he never said multiple promotions, he just said places 😂😂😂😂
Loving this so far Alfie! Would you ever come on a podcast?
Great video as always Alfie, love these 20+ minute deep dives
King Lear is one of my favourite plays of all time. Very cool way to reference it lol Alfie is really making some of the best football content out there.
Been waiting for this without asking 🙌🏻
Cheers 🙌🏻🔥
feels really weird getting a video on your local team
Fantastic video, it's a really unfortunate situation what happened to many teams, dover are a great example but there's 100's of clubs and livelihoods at stake here, something has to change
i support a team in the National league so i knew it would be Dover
which team?
Is it Sutton Utd? Aldershot Town? Dag & Red? Wrexham?
Hartlepool? Barnet? Weymouth? Kings Lynn?
kidderminster?
Joe?
Excellent - one of your best 👍🏽
My local team! Glad to see a video done on them. Really weird season for us haha
Great video. Can you do one about the fans saving Gateshead FC (also National League) when Cala was owner and didn't pay any players or the laundry bill?
god, imagine the team morale
As usual, a great video Alfie!!!
They finished on 1 point credit to the players and staff for sticking with it
Can we all agree the effort n research alfie puts into these videos is just top class 🙌🏿
I support Dunbar United and our club manager, Geoff Jones, actually played for Dover Athletic back in the 90’s and 2000’s. He’s very sympathetic to their situation and speaks nicely of his time at The Crabble.
Yeah Dover have a points deduction also for next season
Can you do a video documentary on the AFC Wimbledon story? How the f a changed the rule and how the f a allowed the move
Thanks Alfie
Dover to me was watching Halifax Town play them twice away. Long long journeys.
Also the story where a Dover fan missed the coach so travelled in his Robin Reliant to Halifax. They won 0-1.
I pray Dover Athletic survives this means so much to me and my town, fans need to return as soon as possible
Love it mate. Great story🔥
Great informative video again. More like this please!
Sad story. I really hope they pull through. I reckon they can get a huge amount of spectators is they give discounts to lorry drivers stuck for days in the lorry park.
Day 2: predict the whole euros but teams with their greatest ever squad.

LOVE THIS CHANNEL
The owner of Dover Athletic in my opinion is an example to how it should be done. If you get passed by by the government (I'm not British so I don't know the details) I completely understand the actions here!
It's not alright for the players and the staff, but whist I understand the predicament it's a statement that needs to be made!
0 points? I'm surprised they didn't go 'full lemming' and jumped off the cliffs of Dover together!
I believe a few years ago Brechin City won only 4 points (4 draws) in the Scottish Championship and since then they’ve been relegated every season since down into the 5th tier
Keep up the quality content!
I'm old enough to remember Dover being denied promotion from the Beezer Homes league in the early 90s because the pitch was on too much of a slope! We will be back, Dover till I die!
Great video. Loved the comparison to King Lear.... Maybe talk about Sheffield Wednesday next? 🦉😥👀 people will definitely watch it. I'm Sure.
It's been 1 hour and already seen by over 7 times the number of fans for Dover
Thanks for the Margate FC mention....
I support a team in the conference North and we got emails asking if we wanted our money back for season tickets or leave it with the club as a donation, only 2 people asked for their money back which was a huge boost.
If the Basque Country were to be granted permission to play in UEFA and FIFA what would be the first 23 men squad...please
Hey alfie. Just watched the new Roberto baggio movie and was disappointed. But I do think baggio deserves his own hitc sevens video that goes more in depth
Alfie you are a legend .❤️
Dover fan here. Relegation is almost a given next season but that is insignificant in comparison to not having a club. Being a spurs fan, going to watch them in the best level of non league will outweigh me giving any money to ENIC and Levy. I recommend this to anyone else if there’s a non league team nearby to them. They need the money from the fans unlike the greedy bosses in the prem. I’m optimistic about next year as I get to see my local club actually play a game of football. Allez le Blancs
I think HITC Sevens should also cover the UEFA Europa Conference - the newborn tournament of UEFA which is hated by some for being another pointless competition by some fans (particuarly by Spurs fans, who feel they should be in the Champions League every season). It'd be interesting to hear Alfie's oppinion on the UECL
The idea of giving more opportunities for clubs from less established footballing nations is good but the format seems flawed
Ive supported Dover for 10 years! Lads as as a Dover fan we beat Notts County in the league but as we couldn't continue we ended it on 0 points. Onwards and upwards we don't get relegated! COME ON DOVERRRR!
That’s my club 👏🏻 Let’s go Dover
