I love the take-home activity! We did similar things for "wellness" at my med school, mostly for sip and paint style and we loved it! Hopefully, we can keep *some* spirit of zoom alive once this is all over, I agree! Congrats on your new position, BTW :)

What were the implications of patients being able to view all their notes? I think that’s a good thing as it gives patients more autonomy over their own healthcare.
The problem is that there are certain notes in the chart that may be about a patient being problematic as far as behavior, attitude, level of violence and such. That way the staff knows how to approach that patient and that patient may not consider themselves problematic. There are those that come in to get certain medications for them to get high on and that would be noted in his/her so that the staff is aware and can treat said patient accordingly.

Why do patients have to look into medical records? Good luck with Dr. Google
I'm guessing it's for the sake of transparency, or something like that. I understand that patients want to see everything that the medical staff put in about them, but it also seems like it could add undue stress on the doctors if they get caught up in overthinking about what patients will think when they read what they put in. I wish that paired with this open records thing, they would seriously redistribute the administrative tasks so that that isn't the dr's responsibility as much. I'm definitely not smart enough to know how best to do that bit, though 😅
