Thank you. Despite it being Christmas Eve, I will still be doing the live sleep story creation session on Tuesday evening, then again as usual on Thursday and the same on New Year's Eve and the Thursday after New Year. So you will still see a lot of me over this holiday period, as well as these '12 Days of Christmas Sleep Stories' stories ending Christmas Eve, and the next story after that posting on New Year's Eve.
So other Christmas and New Year, there will be a sleep story and livestream Christmas Eve, a livestream on Boxing Day, a sleep story and livestream on New Year's Eve and a livestream on 2nd January, and early access sleep stories on Patreon on 23rd December and 30th December, and Patreon exclusive sleep story on 1st January.

The video is obviously about 8 hours as usual. This specific story is about 26 minutes. As I've mentioned often, I find it incredibly difficult to create things like seasonal stories like this, so most end up being short. I think the shortest is about 11 minutes this year. And also why I don't do this every year.
To make these 12 sleep stories took about 12 hours per story plus then the time it took to create thumbnails for RUclips, Insight Timer, Patreon & streaming and downloads services like Spotify and then turning the stories into videos and getting them on to all the platforms.
So far posting these has been very bad for my channel, I knew this was the likely pattern by about the second story posting on RUclips, and strongly considered ending the '12 days of Christmas sleep stories' after day two, but put so much work in and struggle with incomplete patterns that I've accepted things are what they are and that hopefully the damage won't be lasting.
Even though I'm posting a video per day, my channel is getting thousands fewer views than normal and about half the subscribers because people are unsubscribing with each video (which is also happening with each of the Sleep Story Creation Sessions, like it did before when I did them), and each of these seasonal stories is getting very low views.
Generally, I think my specific audience doesn't like me posing more than once per week. Anything more than that and views drop and unsubscribe rates rise. I had the same in 2018 before this was a sleep stories channel.
My stories were becoming popular but I didn't want the channel to be stuck in a narrow pigeon hole, but I like to make people happy. I was constantly being told to stop making my content and just do stories. Even with the stories, most I made were 15-25 minutes long and people wanted them to be longer but each story is the length it turns out. But to do something nice for all those who wanted me to post more stories (I was posting perhaps one every few months at the time) I posted 40 bedtime stories, one per day, for the 40 days up to my 40th birthday, while still posting my usual content. The first one or two did really well, but then they stopped getting many views and people started unsubscribing from my channel and complaining about me 'spamming' because I was posting daily for 40 days.
I know people watch daily vloggers, other channels post daily content or so a version of vlogmas where you don't normally post daily and then post daily in December and I know other sleep stories channels which post daily or every other day and get tens of thousands of views on their videos and positive comments about people being happy getting a constant stream of new stories to listen to. But if I post more then once per week, it negatively impacts views on my channel and the rate of people unsubscribing from the channel increases and I start getting negative comments about spamming on RUclips.
It is also significantly more work for me, much harder to do, takes far more hours work, but makes significantly less income and is dislikes by most of the people who resonate with my sleep stories.
Fortunately there is only 3 more of these seasonal stories left and then this channel is back to posting once per week.

Oh, I will also listen wgen awake, but sometimes I miss them. The ones I have missed, maybe I can go back and listen to the whole thing. If not then that's ok too because I listen to you on patreon and Utube. I especially like and need your original sleep hypnosis ones. They really help me.

@@janetd1980 they are all original. I rarely read the works of others. I plan on possibly reading Wind in the Willows at some point on Patreon and have some other novels etc I would like to read, but they take a long time and a lot of work, and my last reading had so few patrons interested, it wasn't really worth it. Each part of the story only had about 5-6 listeners.
You can watch back any of the creation session livestreams if you weren't around at 9pm UK time to join in with them live. The Patreon ones can be found by just clicking on the video on Patreon, the RUclips ones will show on the live videos section of my channel and in the creation session livestreams playlist (which now it is all up and running again I may turn into a podcast playlist because I think this gives the playlist more features). In the video descriptions and pinned comment you will find a timestamp to when the story itself begins, and as there are chapters in the video, you can also just click to choose the chapter for the start of the story, if you want to skip the idea suggestion section.
The creation session videos are usually about 90-120 minutes long. Normally I try to take no more than 30 minutes to get ideas, so try to start the story about 30 minutes in to the video, although last time it was about 40 minutes when I started, and then I try to create a story which is about 45-60 minutes long, however, the last story was about 100 minutes long.

@DanJonesHypnosis I didn't mean they aren't all original. I just meant the sleep hypnosis ones from quite a way back. At least, I'm believe it was. I love your work. I'll comment on the one that I listen to a lot. It helps relive my stress and helps me relax. They all do, but this one helps me when I'm really stressed. I think reading audio books is nice too. :)
