Amazing to see you here, immediately when I stumbled across this soundtrack I recalled you were the guy behind this game, a true child prodigy, before moving on to Star Fox - and lots more. I hope you're doing well, and thanks for your honestly invaluable programming contributions to the video game medium.

I've never played this game, so I have no idea when any of these tracks play, but I figured I'd post a track breakdown in case anyone was interested. 1. 00:01 2. 00:05 3. 00:50 4. 01:19 5. 01:46 6. 02:50 7. 03:05 8. 03:25 9. 03:56 10. 04:23 11. 05:47 12. 06:25 (This might still be part of the last song- it's hard to tell sometimes?) 13. 08:20 14. 08:57 15. 10:00 16. 10:32 17. 12:52 18. 13:26 19. 13:52 20. 14:20 21. 15:14 22. 15:37 23. 16:06 (This is The Tunnel music btw, in case you're here for that) 24. 18:04 25. 20:44 (Again, this might be a continuation of the last song haha) Hope this is useful!
after hearing the tunnel scene music from brawl and Totaka's song, one would think that this sound track is more melody driven, but that's not the case. Kazumi Totaka's first soundtrack at Nintendo is a show that your name doesn't have to be Hip Tanaka to do atmospheric music on the game boy.
@@tweer64 SO HE DID! well, then. this 8 year old youtube comment stands corrected. Wikipedia lists it as a solo Totaka effort, but it'd make sense that one of the architects for the game boy's audio hardware and software would have a hand in X, and make the sort of atmospheric noises he so likes to make.
I feel like this game boy is pure art, it was made for the gameboy, its something that its exclusive to it in a way because it just used the limits so God damn perfectly, the soundtrack is just designed for this handheld and uses to its exact limit, I'm blown away that it exist.
Just for those who doesn't know, the person who made the original video from the link in the description, didn't recorded the music from the game. Actually, it's all played by ear using chiptunes, so technically, it's not the "original" soundtrack. BUT, since it's so identical to the actual hardware sound, it's hard to tell the difference, and I loved it!😍
Dylan here, I made this game, thanks for posting the OST! It's very nostalgic for me :)
Huh, I was about to call you out as a liar, but a quick google search proved my sorry arse wrong, my apologies for doubting you
+Dylan Cuthbert You're very welcome, Dylan. Kazumi Totaka's Wave Race 64 soundtrack made me want to carry video game soundtracks wherever I go.
You actually made the game?
But it's Japanese LOL XD

3D Classics: X needs to be made. Seriously, there is no excuse to not bring a game like this to US or Europe after 24 years.
wiithepeople2 it have a sequel on dsi ware
Lunar Chase was leaked. They literally have NO excuse now lol
seeing this comment just shows how much potential nintendo's 3D classics line wasted

Hip Tanaka was the sound programmer for this game.

The composer is Kazumi Totaka
When I was a kid, the final level traumatised me and I couldn't go upstairs in our newly built house.

Why is this rip so bad?
It's an FPS for the Game Boy, this is literally the best anyone involved could do
@@TARINunit9 The rip is bad, not the music.
