The way that alphabet fit *perfectly* between the cabinets satisfies my soul. Also, at five months pregnant I was making kids pick up papers I dropped on the floor, couldn’t imagine setting up a whole classroom then! You’re amazing!

You’re making me feel better about setting up quickly. Our school is still going through HVAC remodeling. We start back on Thursday for the staff. We don’t get into the building till the 21st and then the families show up on the 24th. Meanwhile we have PD on the 21st and 22nd. Eeeek! You are making me realize “it is what it is” and not to stress out too bad.

Watching these as a substitute teacher while I research for my Bachelors in Elementary Education - and my organized soul was so happy with 95% of this but the desk layout made me unnecessarily stressed 😅. I imagined like, 5, 6, 5 in back - then all 5s up front to make it more symmetrical. But hey, whatever works for you.

We had major construction one year, addition remodeling the building and several classroom. A week before school, my library had no window or doors, no flooring, no cabinets, no shelves. I had some office chairs. It was still a hard hat area in most the school. Teachers trying to set up classroom around the construction workers. They ended up delaying our school start by a week. It wasn’t until Christmas that my library was fully set up.
I teach 3rd also and decided to change up my colors this year. I did your setup from last year with the bright colored paper and scalloped border and the black washi tape around it. I’ve gotten SO many compliments on it and it just looks so clean and beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration and everything you do on your channel! Have a great year!
Our school got all new furniture for teachers and students the week before school started this year. My furniture got put together on Friday afternoon with school starting on the next Wednesday-we had Open House on the Tuesday before. It was ad adventure to get it all kinda sorta ready by Open House.
Nice classroom. You're lucky you get 3 days. My school district gives us one day with NO air conditioning.
Those desks on wheels, I can only imagine how all over the room the kids will be moving them accidentally 😂

Amazing classroom decor and organization. Quick question are the greenery squares that you have up are they heavy? I have a partition in my classroom to divide my double classroom and I want to put the greenery up there to make it cohesive and for my room to flow from one room to the next.
I am sooooo jelly of your students' desks.... I have those horrible wonky ones that form a flower. Which always leaves one or more students with their back to the TV.

Are you planning on having any chair right next to you at the kidney table or any desk right next to your if a student need help focusing or is talking too loudly ?

What did you use to hang your borders on the whiteboard? Or are the borders magnetic? Asking for myself😉because I set up Monday and I’m a first year!
I have a similar border around my white board. I used double sided tape. You could also use hot glue, or magnetic squares.
