    The kids will remember your humility. I love how you allow your kids to take the lead on projects. My kids are grown and we allowed them to make mistakes and learn from them. Bonus: they love hanging out with us and they are functioning members of society!

    You are correct in allowing your children to know that you are aware that you aren’t always right and that you are just doing the best you can! It also teaches them that they can and should say they are sorry. Nobody is perfect and admitting it is very important but difficult for a lot of people. ❤

    I was just telling my husband last week that this is my favorite parenting channel. “Proper” parenting channels have so much theory but they never show anything in practice. I’m actually going through your videos from the beginning to see your kids grow up.
    Context, we’re both from broken homes, we’re new farmers, we have one small son. We have no idea what we’re doing on any front of our lives, so we can’t tell you how much we appreciate being able to watch you parent.

    Justin, I'm really enjoying your vlogs lately. You seem so much more relaxed and happy. 'I'm sorry' is definitely one of the important lessons to teach your child.     The chickens are likely flying off the top of the compost pile. Even with their wings clipped, they can flap well enough to get themselves a few feet.

    Wow, 5 camera uploads per video. That's a lot of video to go through. Thanks for showing the day to day chores because you have to do them everyday. I'm glad it's easier for you to set-up for the chicken/turkey butchering now that you have the equipment barn. Nice dinner. I'm glad the compost pile is working out for you. Yes, turn on the scalder! That trailer works so well for bringing the C-monsters up for butchering. Works good for the turkeys too. That seemed to go really well guys. So nice that grandma cooked dinner! Soccer game.     Justin, I would advise you to seriously consider a commerical vacuum packer. It works so efficiently and quickly. We vacuumed pack 27 meat chickens in ONE hr!!! No kidding, it was awesome than working with a hot water bath.

    i loved your parenting advice, i thought is was awesome to make aware to your audience your thoughts about letting your kids have and "role with' there own ideas, as i feel like the importance of that concept is easily overlooked. they might not have thought anything of it but all the points you made about why you felt you needed to apologize were very true, my dad did and still does the same thing

    I've held my tongue long enough Justin but I feel the need to throw this out their , the locust trees where I live have very sharp 3 to 5 inch thorns that are thick , vary sharp and actually slightly poisonous, if your locust are like my areas locust you might want to rethink having them around your livestock , children and even tractor tires .
    As a matter of fact my dog had one go completely threw her foot last winter , look up thorns of the locust tree here on RUclips.

    your chicken and turkeys are hopping over the fence, you need a t least 1. 5 meters hieght on your fence, cut their tail feathers and wing feathers only one side this keeps them off balance when they try to hop over the fence. i hope this helps

    oh and please tie the b1 of the backlegs with the front leg. to prevent the cow from kicking out when they are being milked. make sure the cow can stand comfortably but do not leave too much slack, milk form the tied side too. it will prevent a lot of accidents

Just because we are parents, we still make mistakes and I am sorry it's in order! My son it's an adult now and I get in trouble some time 😅!     Poor Josiah. A cheap cut isn't always worth it, mom and dad. She really should have told you she had no idea how to do a mullet!! She wasn't even close! 😢 Unless your goal was to get him to cut it all. You look super handsome with short hair too, Josiah!! You'll be able to try again in a few months! Boys hair grows fast!!
