- Instacart is in the middle of a massive change of business model prior to its IPO. Several reasons pushed for this : an unclear path to profitability and the competition heating up, especially with Amazon Fresh (Whole Foods) and Walmart.

This video should have got more views as there're not many videos about Instacart's business/revenue model and and profitability
Very informative, thank you!
*Do you use grocery delivery apps?*
Good video as usual. The obvious problem is how many small/medium-sized business can use this platform and have a large enough presence to make a dent in Instacart's topline. Do you see yourself ever downloading an app dedicated to delivery from some random small business? Maybe when the technology is available it will happen, but I am skeptical.
It can be small chains of shops, and I also know people who most of the time go to one small shop because they like it, and they could download such apps. But I agree, we will see how it goes. It can also be a small segment in terms of revenue, but one that will turn a profit.
Very 👍🏻 nice 👍🏻
How is the new business model different from Shopify?
Will instacart go public this year or 2023?
It should be this year but nobody knows... they delayed it probably because the numbers weren't good enough. So it depends when they will be able to get them right
