You're so right about that particular lesson from Cyberpunk 2077. Near the beginning of the game, Misty telling me that as long as I'm alive, there is always hope always stuck to me. I clung to those words throughout my first playthrough and did everything to save myself, which lead me to signing a deal with the devil - Arasaka. Which, in turn made my friends, including Misty, so disappointed at me, and basically me losing my humanity.
You brought up Viktor in the end, but Misty I think is also the same. She left Night City but found herself missing the city life and returned. And despite her being unassuming, just living her day to day life in her shop as a tarot card reader, not really having the bombastic personalities of V, Panam, Judy, and others, Misty is doing better than them in terms of living in Night City. And yeah, that may be it. Maybe because she tries to give more to the city and it's people than what she takes that she's able to survive in Night City better than most people in it.

You pointed out all the games I would expect to find in this kind of video and some more. I wanted to give Outher Wilds as an example but you already said all that needs to be said so I will give another example that is more personal to me. In Cyberpunk I somehow manage to make my character look almost exactly like me( I'm bald so this is happening often to me but never at this degree). So at the end of the game I chose to play as Johnny and fight myself. Seeing myself in desperate anger and then in the end in a pitiful state had a profound effect on me. The idea of perception and how other see me was overwhelming. Never felt this before to such an extend

From the moment i knew myself and why i play games..
i was for the deeper meaning, philosophy, because the most important reason of playing games for me is learning..
ppl learn from their books or educational videos and movies, but its only imagining things or just watching..you can't do anything else..
But the games are the most complete way of learning..
Cuz you can experience that thing you want to learn..
You can be there and see everything for yourself
and have your take on it instead of what narrator is saying..
