Simon Lasky - Human Nature / The Black Room Sessions - LIVE

Simon Lasky, is known on both sides of the Atlantic for his expansive and melodic jazz compositions and arrangements which draw on his background as an improvising pianist and classically trained composer. Simon relocated from London, England to Tampa, FL in 2018 on the receipt of a Fellowship to study jazz composition at the University of South Florida with GRAMMY nominated big band composer, Chuck Owen. That same year he won the prestigious British Composer Award, in the Jazz Composition for Small Ensemble category, for his piece 'Close To Ecstasy'. On March 22nd 2024 Simon releases his 3rd album as a leader on Ubuntu Records. He leads his 8-piece Simon Lasky Group in concerts in the U.K. and the U.S. In demand as a soloist, a lecturer, a clinician and a sideman, Simon is currently an Adjunct Faculty Music Professor at the University of South Florida and Hillsborough Community College.
