- My Charger R/T gained horsepower this year. What changes were made to the engine that allowed for the horsepower and torque increases? This is an overview of every mod on my 2016 Charger R/T in the year of 2020. These same mods can be done to the Challenger R/T or other cars with the 5.7L Hemi.

Yep, it turned to money pit as soon as I unlocked my pcm. 394 stroker kit, 90mm tb, bigger injectors, 3.09lsd, factory setup with srt pages and line lock. Full cat back system, lowered suspension bigger sway bar strut tower, staggered hellcat wheels, drag tires, sound system, full led conversion for my fogs and headlights, injen cold air Intake with funnel tube to the headlights. 100lbs of nitrous wet kit. Hp tuned running close to 620 hp and I'm still going.. currently debating to go supercharger or twin turbos. Just never stops lol 😂 it's a sleeper I still rock the 345 emblems.

Headed in r/t life's direction lol. I've only done a HC airbox swap, k&n filter, pedal box, mm delete and BT CC on my 19. It pulls enough for me. No more $ spent. Next stop, past the scat, to the cat.
I agree. Scat isn’t a big enough power difference from where I’m at now
I like the way it drives now, don’t need a blower but the 100shot wet plate system seems well worth it for those occasions that you do need an extra 100hp. The 6.4 intake sounds like a no brainer that I plan on doing. Other than that, possibly the 309 limited slip and headers maybe. You talked me out of the cam.
Headers and 3.09 are definitely two of the best mods for this 5.7 platform

I had no idea you were a local . Hellz yeah! I'm Chino Hills but gree up in OC. I Just got rid of my 2013 Chrysler 300 with 5.7 in it. Had some decent mods in it. Unfortunately I never got a quarter mile time in it but the best time she did on a 0 to 60 was 4.6 seconds. I just picked up a 2018 Chrysler 300 5.7... already started with the upgrades. Hopefully I'll be seeing you around bro 🤙
I appreciate your channel and love your honest take on all your mods. It’s why I watch. You got me thinking maybe the shorties I have on now and my really good running 93 tune isn’t that bad. But I have enjoyed every single Mod. But I should prob quit before I regret something. Hav learned a lot watching Donny RT thx !

Mine have , long tubes, 85mm throttle body, throttle body spacer, 3.09 rear end, msd coil packs, and tune.. I over 400..

I got A 2014 RT AWD and I test drove A 2019 challenger RT definitely noticed a difference there 6speed automatic instead of A 5 speed

Love the car! I have a couple different model hemis. Both modded pretty heavily. But one thing I did on my black top edition was to black out the chrome dodge in the break lights. Tape it all off and razor blade the letter. Don’t try taking them off.
Thanks! When I tinted the taillights I actually cut the tint around them. I kinda like the contrast the chrome provides

You get any warm starting issues? Think we have the same cam, and mine doesnt restart unless i feather the gas. And low RPM it bucks. Almost surged into my wife's car pulling into the garage lol

@@DonnySRT lets just say they're a popular shop in houston that specializes in mopars. Car pulls like a mule but stop and go traffic is almost deadly 🤣 i cant hit the gas at all under 20 MPH or it gets really excited. I was gonna send my logs to Johan, he tuned the car previously.

I have a 2018 Charger 5.7 hemi AWD police car. Know of any shop that can do tuning for this future beast or any advice? Would love to have a bad ass awd charger
No need to do anything but a Diablo tune. The brakes are great suspension great front and rear differential are great. Probably get some long tubes. Those vehicles are able to hit 160 mph and drive that speed for a minimum of 30miles. That’s a guarantee. Don’t cam or do any of that tic tack stuff that gets you 10k deep like this guy for maybe a total of 50hp gained. Supercharger for less money on fb marketplace. That will get you more Hap than what this guy is claiming. You will make over 450 hp to the wheels at a minimum.

The problem with modding is you will never be happy and all the money invested you will not get back in return or the time to return it to stock and sell parts and a smaller crowd that is looking to buy a modified car. Its a slippery slope...and to prove what? a number on a board at the drag strip, a dyno number, you matted the throttle and passed another car that was flooring it in traffic?

I think you can make that argument for any modified car - it just seems to hurt the mopars the most haha

Donny how are you buddy calling out to San Diego I have a 2013 nag one RT slightly built it’s definitely worth the money to me just like you said in your video cars like the scat pack and hellcats are just way too expensive. This car is paid for and I don’t mind doing a little upgrades to keep me living a car even longer so money is not an issue Here in a couple months I’m hoping to save up was going to get the cam kit lifters in a gear on my 57. Do you think that is a better way to go because some people say the 57 is better engine and a 64 just lately I’ve been thinking about maybe getting a 64 engine and dropping it in . What do you think bud

look at it this way donny if you got a 392 what would you have done within a week mod it of course if you bought hellcat what would you have done within the first week mod of course or even the 3.6 same thing once you start modding you cant stop its a drug seriously i need help man 🤮 im sick bro 😵🤯

I’ve spent less on my R/T build, than the price of a beat up scat, and I’m gapping all of them, unless they’re boosted with bolt ons.
