I was just listening to Matthew (27 Shots is heavy!) and on Extravagant Traveler he raps "Planes we buying off the lot. While y'all rentin. Excursion flights with Bill Clinton. Taking fine girls to Washington to get their extensions." Hunh! What he say? What year was Matthew? Does Keith ever rap as a lizard person? Has he been to scandal island. Life is crazier than fiction. Take it from the man.
Matthew is a great project. Spankmaster is his best work IMO. I have had that album in rotation since I bought it the day it came out. I bought the CD to give you an idea of how long ago that was. IMO Spankmaster is the ultimate Kool Keith album but anything from that late 90s early 2k was def his peak as an artist. He still does his thing and there's flashes of brilliance but it's not quite the same
Good job calling Keith out on that "staying current" bullshit. Keith man, you know damn well its not about following the same style, sound, or cadence of other rappers. Just because you don't follow what others are doing, doesn't mean you're living in the past. Your just doing your own thing.
