Madeira, Portugal [4K] Calhau da Lapa, Ribeira Brava. Lovely Hidden Beach and Waterfall. 2021

Calhau da Lapa is located in the Ribeira Brava municipality. It is accessible by boat (taken from either Ribeira Brava or Funchal) or by a big descend by foot from a small chapel in Campanario (1km pathway going down 60 a meters height difference. Let’s just say that going back up sounds a bit difficult, especially after a long beach day and a 3 fish and potatoes lunch)
Once down it’s a very interesting place, a small land space at the bottom of very high cliffs, a very beautiful waterfall and several very peculiar houses carved out on the mountain.
