- Iguana articulated tracked vehicle of David Hansen in action. Very off-road vehicle. Prototype in early 2000. I should like to travel off-road in this vehicle !!! See also : www.unusuallocomotion.com
Wow! Went through a 2-3 inch puddle! What a machine!
A modernized and tracked Gama-Goat. Love it.
God bless u man ,ur machines n track systems are so cool.....love tracked ATVs
Very interesting stuff.
Now how about an update that isn’t 15 years old.
Check out Iguana Amphibious Truck
Development to me, is build, test and fix. The 2003 aluminum amphibious vehicle was the first of its kind. Many mistakes; the articulation, the road wheels, the tracks in water, cavitation and very little thrust. Look at the Iguana Amphibious Truck on RUclips. It is still far from perfect but "fine wine takes time" The car you are driving took over 100 years to develop. Unlike ripsaw, the Iguana just keeps getting better.
Dave
Not only looks good but goes good too.
The most striking is the long development time. You might have a solution for a not anymore existing problem because nowadays there are many tracked and wheeled off-road vehicles available.
NOW THAT IS JUST BAD ASS!! You should build one to go up against the new ripsaw. I think you got a good chance.
prancstaman no. No it doesn't
Ripsaw would wipe it's ass with this thing...
@@brianpetrie8400 .....true but I’m sure the ripsaw would be FAR more expensive. Just a guess though
Can you imagine the capabilities with a cab crew. I'm retired from an electric utility nuclear bulked power mega watts . You could move men and equipment efficiently with this thru our many swampy right-of-ways. Arne michigan
as usual Anglo-Saxons copy and then give out for their own, DT-10 Knight Special equipment for working in difficult climatic conditions with extremely low environmental changes. The knight easily overcomes trenches and pits of different depths. The all-terrain vehicle is original from the constructive point of view: two-link, it is easy to transport goods weighing 10 tons. The junction of its links is two powerful hydraulic cylinders, which increase the passability of special equipment. From 1977 until now, Knight is considered the most versatile and passable all-terrain vehicle.
Any time they obscure the engine sound .. and overlay it with a placid musical soundtrack .. you can bet your bottom dollar the damned thing is LOUD.
the front axle articulates. why? smoother ride? it seems like it would put a twisting force on the tracks. awesome vehicle though. it really looks amazing.
That thing would be awesome without the trailer behind it. It would be a fun little swamp machine
The trailer houses the engine
The military is buying "fun little machines" I hope they never have to take them into a combat zone
Build it insulated and high output heat make that rear drive a 4 seat area and twin sleeper. I'll take 2
can you make one handicapp accessible or to drive by wheelchair come up with that for the people who are limiterd then you will have som, ething great
@Mike Lewis, that's a great idea! I've been thinking about a balloon wheeled 4x4 electric that would enable limited people to enjoy rugged hiking trails.
Why put the engine in a trailer configuration on a tracked vehicle? Attempting a neutral turn would place a lot of wear and tear on any traction surfaces and corresponding components.
Why does it need the trailer it would be much more versatile without it do you think
@Mr. Brown Bear .....it would not. The engine resides in the trailer like the Haglund
Why isn't the trailer on trax, or showing how powerful the vehicle is
Awesome Vehicle 👍👍
Proceeds to go on a beer run in town and tears the shit out of everything..
What is the fuel capacity? Reason being this could be a great vehicle for Alaska, but it would need some decent range.
Did you ever go into market with this?
The Iguana vehicles site won't load so maybe they're defunct?
Looks like it could be very cool but it also looks like it wants to sink real quick.
Golden hands!
Too many spiteful, ignorant negative comments from would he's if they could be.
It can swim we can go for a ride it's not sinking in the Snow
Are they currently for sale ?? Still in Business ??. Any old prototypes that you wanna sell ?? Thx. Dan
Hello. can i make all-terrain vehicle suspension how iguana? i am from Russia. thanks.
Where did he get those tracks?
240p, really guys
This guy has made a life time of work, from something that never really gets built. Wasting peoples time and money. Even if it could be production sold it would never be affordable for the common man.
Yep , we will work with manufactures and keep on innovating, what a fucking scam
Track tires on a jeep it's like a Trac but around a tire! This guy is just about masterbating with out cuming, why fuckin bother, seriously why hat use is a patent unless u r going to license it of build it urself , whay a waste of a decent idea , just like a lot of other ones , anybody remember the dynacam engine?God bless
Not more than a fancy looking Haglund!
Why do they all have a trailer and what purpose does it have
The engine is in the trailer
A civilian Gama Goat.
Id love to join the team

Bangs head on roll bar - you need a better rops and harness!
Or better yet, some suspension.
Nahh.. I'll take the Ripsaw thanks
You not even old enough to get rid of your training wheels.
What's with the stupid looking trailer?
That's were the fuel tank is... use what God gave you to think brohom!
Bette to open your mouth and sound like a fool than to keep it closed and remove all doubt
All I see is an elaborate waste of a good set of tracks..
Wtf is in that trailer anyway? I almost suspect the engine is in there?
The engine is in the trailer just like the Haglund BV206. Very capable machine
Very Very COOL :) . SKK .
DON'T act HelpLess Comman Man No Room On Earth For Helpless People
Where is the motor and where is the exhaust located
In the trailer
A 5.9. Cummins would move her right along
Are these still available
Wondering that myself
How .much
Too Bad none of these vehicles ever get produced!
But the question is is it better than a sherp.?
It does not tumble as easily
If it so good I know a fire dept who will test if you donate one
Ig u wanna?
Too bad it only seats one
Yes he made something but it should have been released in the forties or fifties specially for the US market that's too damn old and even looks too old
It is obsolete by today’s standards!
Круто
Looks too open for cold weather ops.
more protection than a snowmobile
the problem w/ this technology is it's merits is its own curse, if a major auto company started producing or adapting this tech it could be a real disruptor & cause massive bankruptcies
Learn from the Russians ,SHERP.
Mr david contact me
Check my new location on Iguana Amphibious Truck at RUclips
I don’t like the idea of the trailer!!
This is a 4x4 with the diffs turned round & a knuckle on the what would normaly be back axle anyone could do that ots not genius its a cheet a clever cheet but a cheet none the less & realy its no different to what the big carporations do to us sell is the same car just in various dresses
SHERP !
what a waste of his time
So says the expert with a smart phone who cannot build a decent bird house
To bad the sherp does all that and more.well the sherp isn't fast but it still out performs this failed design
The sherp is a neat idea. Obviously good in swamp. However if you hit the brakes going down a steep hill or accelerate to fast climbing, you might find your self upside down in a hurry.
That is bad to the bone i need one to moe my yard
